    Special attention should be paid to the problem of interference in the political processes of the United States especially with the alleged involvement of some Ukrainian politicians. I want to declare that this is unacceptable. We intend to initiate and complete a transparent and unbiased investigation of all available facts and episodes, including those involving Burisma and the 2016 U.S. elections, which in turn will prevent the recurrence of this problem in the future.

    That's an announcement against ALL corruption that could interfere in the US political process.

    This is political to you because YOU know who was actually interfering, and you don't want those people held accountable.

    You're as transparent as plastic wrap.

    To repeat the same thing? LOL So far the witness testimony is all second and third hand and opinion. One would need a direct quote with supporting information, not just opinion.

    You claimed it was about general corruption. That is factually wrong.

    The statement refers to specific alleged instance of corruption. Not general corruption.

    You want me to explain how a supremely unqualified son of the man who is VP got millions of dollars working at a corrupt company is, at best, highly questionable?

    If that's what you need, that's more time than I'm willing to invest.

    It includes two specific alleged instances of corruption....Burisma...and involvement in the 2016 election.

    So you don't want Burisma or Ukranian interference in the 2016 election investigated.

    Let's see. Trump never mentioned a quid pro quo, never mentioned holding funding for deadly weapons on his call with Zelinsky, Zelinsky never made any public statement, and deadly funding was released so what's this all about?

    BTW, Obama sent blankets.

    Did you notice that doing so was preceded by "unbiased"?

    That's what this is really about.

    You don't want an "unbiased" investigation.

    You don't want what happened in 2016 in the Ukraine investigated, and you don't want Burisma investigated.

    ....and we all know why that is.

    ...and I understand why you want neither of those investigated.

    From the party of "we need to get to the bottom of interference in the 2016 election".

    What you mean is, "how to stop Republicans from finding out what we did in the 2016 elections".

    No, this is about getting you to understand that the announcement sought by the Trump campaign was an investigation into Burisma Oil, the 2016 Election, and Joe Biden - specifically - and not general corruption.

    Please explain how Burisma corruption and interference in the 2016 election is targeting a specific US political group.

    "Interference in the 2016 election" is a general statement.

    "Investigating Burisma" is an investigation into a foreign company.
