good luck with leaving the USA - most Americans are more patriotic than that, I think your own state would not allow you to do it

So we agree that there is nothing in the treaty that forbids any of the states from leaving. When it suits their purposes, they will leave. States always look to their own self-interest.

yep, they can leave and take their portion of the debt with them if they choose

then maybe America will declare war with their new anti-American country and take their land, who knows

I didn't say I want to leave anything. I said that there is no language in the treaty that forbids any state from exiting. Have you found such language??

Once again there was no debt, when the Constitution was signed, it accumulated through Democrat wars in the 1900's, Hawaii wasn't even a state till 1959..so what debt did she accumulate?

I think at some point I observed that the treaty does not prohibit any state from leaving. Then you jumped in with both legs. So are we now in agreement that the treaty contains no prohibition against any state leaving?

The spin zone is getting you no where, no law exists for a state not being able to leave.

yes, and there is a debt now, each state is responsible for it, if one leaves they take their portion of the debt with them

the debt came from the Bush 2 ten plus year wars and the tax cuts for the rich - been growing a trillion a year sense Bush jr had power

So you think the debt was zero and Reagan was lying about the trillion dollars from Jimmy on television?

most of the debt is from 2000 on, what was the debt in 1959, what is it now?

Reagan was part of the problem, his tax cuts for the rich were the start of the downfall

though I would be happy now to get back to the tax rates under Reagan

No, it doesn't say anything about any state paying her debt. Interesting, no?
