This is wonderful coming from our bold and magnificent President of White European heritage. He knows the hard dedicated work and explicit sacrifices these soldiers go through to protect our nation's sovereignty. We are still engaged in a war on terrorism and it's good to know these brave and courageous soldiers, who voluntarily signed up to put their lives on the line to protect and defend the Constitution, has President Trump's back. President Trump will not tolerate cowards and deserters. It's just another step in making America great again.

This is the lowest, most vile thing Trump has done to the US military and that's saying a lot considering his detouring money from them for his monument and the lost respect by allies for the US military caused by his precipitous departure from Syria and the abandonment of the Kurds. Now he adds announcing to the world that the US military will no longer be beholden to the rule of law. A sad day indeed for the people who risk their lives without resorting to war crimes. Trump is no better than the Imam that tells a suicide bomber he'll be greeted by Allah with open arms for his sacrifice.

Trump is dumb as a stump and has no clue why good order and discipline matter in the US military.

"I think what I’m doing is sticking up for our armed forces. And there’s never been a President that’s going to stick up for them and has, like I have...." -President Trump, as quoted in the article

The men and women who signed up, along with their families attached, knew of the many possible sacrifices that would have to made to defend our sovereignty. Making sacrifices in order to fund the border wall is one example. Without the border wall, our national sovereignty is in peril.

Is that a quote from Trump's diary ? :) Sounds like it.

How could he? He didn't do any hard work or make sacrifices during the Vietnam war.

    Exactly.

When Trump says "I've got your backs"

THIS is what Trump MEANS "Rape, Murder, and Commit All of the War Crimes that you want, it is ok with me".

Wow. What a SAD Day for America...

Ol' Bonespurs Trump--A TREASONOUS DISGRACE TO AMERICA...:smh:

Seriously, this pisses me off. An Imam unleashes terrorists on the world and they make all of Islam look bad including the over a billion Muslims that would love a world at peace. Trump's vile actions here are no different because all of our soldiers will be viewed as potential war criminals that won't be held accountable.
"But what about all the Muslims that in their hearts support the terrorists?" they say. Well how are the people who support this move any different?

No, none of the three were "acquitted" One was in prison, one was yet to be tried, and the third, while not found guilty of the charges despite the doctor's testimony he was still demoted and removed from combat for his "Photo Op" with the deceased.

Yeah, Trump is really protecting a great guy here, someone who threatened to kill fellow Seals if they would speak out against his war crimes.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/sea...allegedly-threatened-to-kill-teammates-2019-4

This sends such a great message to the rest of the world. News flash: If you want to defeat Isis based on winning hearts and minds, lowering ourselves to their level might not be the best idea.

So Obama must have been a war criminal, his drones blew up entire wedding parties, but when a grunt in the heat of battle takes out a perp, he goes to jail.

Obama's rules of engagement put a higher value on the Taliban than US forces.

The troops are great full for a POTUS that stands for them and not the political managers that have screwed things up so badly.

I think you must have misquoted him because stealing money from military families to pay for his wall is sticking it to them.

Cadet Bones Spurs has no business interfering in military justice matters, pardoning war criminals?!!

Washington (CNN)Tensions that have been mounting for months between some of the nation's most senior military officers and President Donald Trump are boiling over after his decision to intervene in the cases of three service members accused of war crimes.

A long-serving military officer put it bluntly, telling CNN "there is a morale problem," and senior Pentagon officials have privately said they are disturbed by the President's behavior.

Dismay in the Pentagon has been building over Trump's sporadic, impulsive and contradictory decision-making on a range of issues, including his sudden pullback of troops in Syria. But now there are new and significant worries, as multiple military officials and retired officers say Trump's intervention into high-profile war crimes cases cannot be ignored.

I highly doubt that the troops are great full (sic). I've never met a soldier that would condone what those three did or are accused of. I should think they're like priests who are painted with the brush of pedophile because of a small minority of priests. Muslims painted with the brush of terrorist because of a small number of terrorists claiming to be Muslim. Blacks as thugs, whites as racists and browns as threats to sovereignty because of a few.
Now our soldiers know that as long as Trump has his say then the absolute lowest of the low of them are defining them in the public eye, particularly in foreign arenas where their lives are on the line.
Clinton said "When they go low we go high". No matter what you think of her that has been what has defined America. When we stop respecting the rule of law we stop being respected.
These three were not being tried or had been tried by foreign or even civil courts and in need of protection from political bias'. No it was the US military itself. By doing what he did he was protecting the backs of the lowest of the low from courts comprised of the highest of the high. How do you think the generals and admirals who put these three pieces of filth in prison in the first place feel now? That their commander in Chief has their backs?

Obama pardoned a domestic terrorist and murderer, play us a tiny violin.

The Obama pardon you should be mad about: Oscar Lopez ...

    https://www.chicagotribune.com › opinion › commentary › ct-oscar-lopez-...

Jan 19, 2017 - Oscar Lopez Rivera claimed a right to wage war on the United States and repeatedly put innocent civilian lives at risk.

You would compare releasing someone after 35 years in prison, without a pardon by the way, to giving full pardons and requiring a restoration of rank to these three pieces of filth?
