No, actually it is because of the capitalist economic system.

According to The Faith of the Founding Fathers,

"The U.S. Founding Fathers fell into three religious categories:

    1. the smallest group, founders who had left their Judeo-Christian heritages and become advocates of the Enlightenment religion of nature and reason called "Deism".
    2. the founders who remained practicing Christians. They retained a supernaturalist world view, a belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, and an adherence to the teachings of their denomination. These founders included Patrick Henry, John Jay, and Samuel Adams.
    3. The largest group consisted of founders who retained Christian loyalties and practice but were influenced by Deism. They believed in little or none of the miracles and supernaturalism inherent in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

We see references to the Creator in the Declaration, but not in the federal constitution, and no reference to Jesus in either. Of course, the state constitutions were different and we are, after all, a union of states, or at least we were. I don't know if we are really divided or not. The intellectuals and the students and the media are, but average working people don't obsess over these questions.

    YES!

Unfortunately the truth of the Magna Carta is not known.

It was a peace treaty. Meaning there is a war missing from history, and an army.

Few realize that Article V of the constitution is clause #61 from the MC modified.

Which allows for a a capitalist economic system. You can't have one without the other.

I disagree. China and Russia have what is a capitalist system. They aren't like our capitalist system but they are basically capitalist.

And I would disagree with your premise. They only switched to a hybrid style capitalist system after the fall of the Soviet Union, realizing they could not compete in the world market without a form of capitalism. There are no real such things as privately owned companies in China and even to date, most companies in Russia are state run companies. And true entrepreneurship in either country is nearly non-existent.

Fallacy Fallacy. Where have I ever stolen my arguments from a "holy link"?? One such example would suffice...

Projection is the act of attributing one's own faults/issues/etc. onto someone else. It is also known as an Inversion Fallacy.

** I have denied nothing. I stand by my words.
** I never made any appeal to faith.
** Buzzword Fallacy. You are basing your fallacy accusations on buzzwords.
** I'm not choosing what is or isn't a fallacy. This is already defined by logic itself.

True but not the whole story. Capitalism requires individual liberty. Capitalism was implicit in the constitution from the strict limitations on what the federal government could do. Liberty was explicit in the Constitution. So it is the Constitution that fosters capitalism.

OK, but you could just as well say that the constitution has driven a better way of life in America by limiting the power of government. I don't disagree with you.

That is what I was trying to say. The Constitution prohibits the federal government from business and commerce, leaving only free private enterprise or capitalism. They were encouraged to make commerce easy with the commerce clause. Unfortunately the commerce clause the past century has been used to make commerce more regulated and harder and to get the government into business and commerce.

All REGULATIONS on Commerce are SELF INFLICTED!

If corporations did not POLLUTE our air and water there would have been no need for the EPA. The REALITY is that corporations DID spew pollution into our air and water and that is WHY they have been regulated under the Commerce Clause.

The same principle applies to shoddy products and shady business practices that cause harm to We the People. If corporations had made quality products and not tried to scam and deceive people there would have been no need for those regulations under the Commerce Clause.

Whining that the government has made it "harder" is disingenuous given that the government only REACTS to corporate malpractices.
