It's one thing to tweet about those claims out of the Florida court that Omar is a sleeper cell terrorist or whatever. But to then say that she should be tried and hanged is a step too far. But I want to see conservative posters try to tell me that this is part of the liberal tech industry's push to silence conservative voices. So come on. ENTERTAIN ME!

It is. If twitter had any honest standards the racist dingbat Omar would have been banned.

3link, you need a link or the thread will get shut down.

    https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2019...lla-banned-from-twitter-for-hanging-comments/

I don't see what's wrong with this woman's Tweet, she gave an opinion on what should happen if it's proven Omar is a traitor. Before I stopped using Twitter I used to see comments about Trump being hanged, getting the firing squad, gas chamber, etc. I saw the same things being said about the Covington kids and in both cases many of the Tweets were from celebrities like Cher, Middler, Streisand and others. Now I don't know if they had their Tweets deleted or if they were banned, but if they were they never made the news. Was Kathy Griffin banned from Twitter over her depiction of Trump being decapitated? I don't know.

But here's something you might agree with me on: Anyone who is registered to run for office should be able to say whatever they want, no censorship whatsoever unless they're actually calling for violence. Let them speak their minds without having to worry about being banned, let all of them show their true colors which I think does the voters a big service.

Let’s just face the facts - Liberals love people like Ilhan Omar who hate America.

    My bad. https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/29/politics/danielle-stella-twitter-suspension/index.html
It's pretty distasteful. I'd say the same thing if someone tweeted that if Trump conspired with the Russians, he should be tried as a traitor and hanged. Are people even still hanged for treason? Seems this woman's tweet was alluding to a lynching--a favorite conservative pastime.
I hope those users were banned. I've never seen that. Possibly because I've never used twitter.
Please dig up those tweets. I don't doubt that celebrities tweet terrible things but people who tweet about killing people by hanging should be banned from the platform.
Was that even a tweet? I don't remember.
    ummmm....
Fine with me, subject to the condition above which this person clearly violated. That notwithstanding, twitter can police its own platform however it wants to and I think tweeting that people should be hanged under x condition is distasteful and abusive.

I don't really care for her because she's a little too left for me but I don't believe she hates America. Instead, I believe people who accuse others of hating America are often too dumb to refute the arguments of the people they are accusing. So they are forced to resort to ad hominem.

Omar has ideas about how to improve America, as does every politician. Just because you think those ideas would not improve America does not mean she is anti-American. So stop being lazy and come up with better refutations to her arguments. For starters, "Contrary to Omar's opinion, Medicare for all isn't the most efficient means of delivery healthcare services because....." See how that works? Try that instead of "Omar is a black mooslim who hates America because she's black and a mooslim."

Personally I think that someone who says this “see below” is not fit for political office in America.

Some people did something on 9/11.
    Or
Our country should be more fearful of White men.

Not to mention all her anti Semitic statements that are too long to list.

I find it hysterical that liberals don’t have a problem with those statements, but support
Boycotting Chic Fil-A & banning them from opening restaurants because they donated money to the Salvation Army.

BTW, I just looked to see if it is still there and while he limits people who can access his twitter feed, it does still exist.

Kathy Griffin's thing about Trump's decapitated head was originally sent out into the world via a Tweet.

Here's an example of something Cher did.

Cher Refuses to Apologize for Saying Trump Should Be Sexually Assaulted

Barbra Streisand tweeted this and it's still on Twitter

Regarding something being tasteful or not, I don't think that's something any one person or group can decide. My opinion is that the left can say the nastiest things and get away with it because their media controls the narrative and they jump on the first amendment. When someone on the right says something the left disagrees with, the left calls it hate speech, attempts to shut that person down, and then wants to re-write the 1st amendment.

Compare what Streisand Tweeted to what Stella Tweeted and ask yourself why one is banned and the other isn't.

HERE'S his IMDb. He ain't one of the Russo Brothers but I've heard of him, more thru Beauty and the Beast, although my nieces know his name because of Twilight. I DO know he's a bit more famous than Danielle Stella.

Of course, there are OTHER celebrities in that link, y'know. Point is, I'd say the woodchipper tweet is at the very least as bad as Stellas, and IMHO far worse. But one still has a twitter account and one doesn't. I'll leave it to others to figure out why.

Hey, want some real fun? Look HERE.

They key word here is tried. Since hanging is still legal in two US states, its therefore possible that she could be tried by a jury of her peers, found guilty via due process, and sentenced to be executed in accordance with our laws. She could theoretically then be hung if the trial were held in WA or NH.

Which begs the question: is calling for legitimate, sanctioned, legal violence by the state, after all due process has been served, still a 'call to violence?' If so, what would you say to all the folks calling to 'lock him/her up!'?
