Clarence Thomas: The ‘Modern-Day Liberal’ Has Been Bigger ‘Impediment’ than ‘Klansmen’

“I felt as though in my life I had been looking at the wrong people as the people who would be problematic toward me. We were told that, ‘Oh, it’s gonna be the bigot in the pickup truck; it’s gonna be the Klansmen; it’s gonna be the rural sheriff,’” Thomas said, according to ABC News.

“But it turned out that through all of that, ultimately the biggest impediment was the modern-day liberal,” he continued. “They were the ones who would discount all those things because they have one issue or because they have the power to caricature you.

Clarence Thomas is perhaps the Supreme Courts most conservative member.

He has lived a remarkable life and should be celebrated by all starting as a poor child who went to bed hungry, later becoming an angry marxist, and going on to vote for Reagan.

For being conservative-he suffered a high-tech lynching at the hands of the democrat party.

For those that recall the Kavanaugh confirmation-that was a walk in the park compared to how Justice Thomas was treated.

With several Justices reaching advanced age, and a Trump re election looking increasingly likely-its important to remember how democrats do-and to realize that they will do it again to any SCOTUS replacements. Im looking forward to this being aired on PBS soon.

Also, its interesting that the top democrat presidential candidate was a central figure in the high tech lynching...

Imagine if a Democrat SCOTUS justice made a remark against the other party.
So much for impartiality on the courts.

Democrats tried a high tech lynching of an honest man.

I find the best conservatives started out as liberals and were then red pilled.

Reagan. Sowell. Thomas.

 

Care or not-but him and the rest of the SCOTUS will have an impact on you for the rest of your days.

If you have a few minutes, here is Candace Owens, a beautiful black woman who started out as a liberal democrat and is now an outspoken conservative. Her opinions seem to echo those of Justice Thomas'.

 

Clarence Thomas is rabidly conservative. There is no news there. Plus the SCOTUS already leans conservative. If Ginsberg were to be replaced by a liberal, the SCOTUS would still be 5-4 conservative. Is a 6-3 stronghold what you want? If so you may be sorry for what you asked for.

 

Ginsberg won't be replaced by a liberal.

Same with Sotomayor.

 

This makes no sense. A lot like most of justice Thomas' decisions.

 

It makes perfect sense. Top Dems and the media painted him as a sexual predator, just like with Kavanaugh.

What's the most troubling thing is they trashed kavanaugh like Clarence, after the battle he was like a shallow of a man on the court, he didnt want to be in the lime light.

 

So how did gay marriage pass? How did Obama care pass? How did roe vs Wade pass?

 

So he admits the klansman and bigot are conservatives but is more worried about liberals....because of some gibberish that didn’t make any sense?

 

I am not sure how anyone could do there job effectively, after they got trashed and this was the Democrats goal.

 

Trashing a person so they conform is not the American way

 

This is the process in which Justices are confirmed. All your dirty laundry will come out. Some have more dirty clothes than others.

 

If a Justice couldn't deal with pressure from opposing parties to a point he cannot do his/her job they shouldn't sit on the bench. That is much too unstable.

I'm amazed at the hypocrisy from the right. A man can admit when they are wrong.

 

I don't think you understand that the SCOTUS doesn't make laws. They decide on the constitutionality of laws when they have been challenged in court and kicked up to them.
