Ah, yes, the old "financially accountable" argument. That's his business only after the fact, if the woman decides not to abort.

Actions have consequences. If a man doesn't want to be held responsible for a child that a woman decides to bring to term, he can keep it zipped or get it snipped. No one forced him to have sex.

Sigh ... men always seem to want to have it both ways, but that's exactly what I mean by it being biological. If sex results in an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy, the man can always just walk away from that consequence, but the woman can't.

Until she decides, it's no one else's business.

Seems medically ignorant. When my wife had an ectopic pregnancy it remained unknown until the day she almost died flat on the floor in Sears. All the physicians could do was go in surgically to stop the bleeding and save her life.

We had been looking for a new washer at Sears. We went back after the emergency had passed and the wounds healed, then the manager gave her a free Kenmore washer. Even made the paper.

I don't think so....I think some of the basis for anti-women's rights laws (ant-Choice) is misogyny....and many Christians support women losing the right to their own bodies....the epitome of misogyny.

Extremism from ANY SIDE is always a vice. Extremism serves no one--not even those who promote it.

If this was true, the fight would only be against the abortion of males, not both.

The "fight" is not about the sex of the fetus, it is about taking away women's right to their own bodies, the right to choose, bodily autonomy.

The Anti-Choicers are against all abortions..

Exactly. Only God has the right. The Religious Right isn't against women, per se, they're against anyone choosing their own judgment over God's will. This is only one expression of it.

Furthermore, in earlier history, they prohibited anesthesia. Again only God has the right to give and take life. Identifying misogyny as the cause of opposition to abortion is superficial, and very naive.

At the core of their beliefs is the denial of free will and the subjectivization and mystifying of reality.

The battle isn't abortion vs life, it's objective reality vs mysticism.

    .

They are targeting WOMEN'S right to their own body. One may think "god" rules but the righteous right does NOT.

Law does. It protects people from those who think they are god and/or speak for it.

Why aren't they protesting at the pentagon? Why do they believe it's OK to kill those they don't agree with (see the history of Christianity)

Now you're going from the fight is about the sex of the fetus to something else.....that's OK, I like to chase Anti's all over the place :)

What extreme contempt for the baby's life. Murder is murder, and baby killing is the most immoral action we allow. How is it not murder? Its premeditated, by virtue of the fact you need an appointment. You may also note that babies, still in the womb has slowing been growing an entire body of law that protects them. Soon that body of law will so exceed the infanticidal impulses of baby killers and the practice will finally be banned. Ohio is taking a step towards a more civilized world...

no it's his business before because his financial application depends on your choice.

that's a different standard for men. A woman doesn't want to have a baby why can't she simply keep it zipped up?

Does she lack any autonomy? Is she a slave to her desire but the man is not? If so you're saying men are superior.
no they can't, we have entire systems of Justice to hold them accountable.
If her decision results and financial culpability of another person it is someone else's business.

you keep saying that it's not but you're not making a rational argument for why.

This is an abuse of power. No government involvement is needed when a doctor is helping a woman through a time like this.

Because murder is a legal construct. Abortion does not fit the legal definition of murder. A fetus isn't a person.

Apparently that's safer, from what I don't know but that's what I was told.
