Congress can issue subpoenas. Even then, it isn't clear that the information was obtained by subpoena. The info either came from Nunes's all record, which would require a subpoena, or from Pranas's. Seeing as Parnas was publicly willing to provide Congress with info, it isn't likely that they would have needed a subpoena to get his phone rcords.

So, back to my question. What secret subpoenas?

The didn't. And, even if they did, that would be illegal.

The SC has already ruled against delegation of powers. But keep pretending BMWs are a national security threat.

Sorry, Congress makes the laws so it wouldn't be illegal. That is in the constitution.

The lawyer's records involve his calls to the White House and other public offices. Aren't those records public?

And who was the journalist calling?

Congress can't make laws that violate the Constitution. They need an amendment to change the Constitution. Do you understand that?

Which of those people is a journalist? The Giuliani call you highlighted is with the White House. Again, isn't that public info?

The Nunes call is with Parnas, who has said he wants to cooperate with Congress, so I'm not sure if Nunes's calls were subpoenaed or if Parnas offered up his call records. They would produce the same information there. Now, the Sekulow/Giuliani call would probably require a subpoena.

The result is that "the wrong" journalists can't track down stories without fear of being caught up in a witch hunt.

What do you think the liklihood is that Solomon is the only reporter going after this story?

All of those are with Parnas. Isn't he cooperating with Congress?

Guiliani and Nunes are players in Trump's Ukraine bribery.

Giuliani was working for the Government, two of Giuliani's associates have been indicted

"Perhaps the biggest revelation stemming from the report is that Schiff obtained the phone records and text message logs of Rudy Giuliani, the president's personal attorney."

from what we have heard about Giuliani and Nunes, both should be investigated as to their involvement with Ukraine and Trump

And you are absolutely sure he hasn't volunteered his own phone records? How so?

this is Trump's FBI, so Trump did this

maybe Trump is throwing people under the bus?

or maybe Giuliani is leaking some of his "insurance"
