    I’m confused, your source links to https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-clause-for-current-owners-of-assault-weapons which states “If a proposed assault weapons ban in Virginia is signed into law, citizens who already own the banned weapons would not be required to give up their guns, according to a new report” followed with gun owners are “vowing to not comply with a rumored mandatory buy-back program” even though no mandatory buyback program has been introduced.

    So who’s guns exactly are they coming to get?

    An aside, on your second point — no one should have the right to mutilate a child because he is a boy, that you assert this as a “freedom” is disgusting quite frankly.

    Those Democrats are the 2nd type I was talking about. Ignorant fools who believe the lies and propaganda of the first type.

    In a way they deserve what they get. Don't expect them to "wise up". They will deny Democrats are coming for their guns even as Democrats come for their guns and take them.

    Meanwhile we have open warfare on our streets on a daily basis just look at what happened in Jersey City???Our number of shot killed and wounded every day is equal to some of the worlds worst war zones.

    No idea, that’s why I asked. It doesn’t make sense to me.

    Unless it is just for people that refuse to register.

    I am against buybacks or even really limitations on types of guns but agree with registration so I am kind of in the middle on this situation.
    Calling in the National Guard is absurd though.

    Still makes him a criminal. He has confessed to numerous others.
    Rich people rarely go to jail — And when they do it’s because the crime is so egregious that it cannot be ignored.

    Looks like they backed down but you can bet the registration will be used as a confiscation list, next time.

    Why would there be any penalty for those "refusing to register" in the sense of someone coming to their home (let alone the MILITARY) and seizing??

    Are you forgetting what nation you live in?

    I really don’t see how confiscation could realistically occur, especially in areas with a significant gun ownership rate.
    I understand the concern however.

    Open carry is legal in Virginia.

    Be real interesting if millions of armed Virginians marched to Richmond on its first day in session next month-it would certainly make a point.
