Anyone who understands how important it is to maintain a good relationship with Europe's most advanced nation.

So when Trump said he would try to improve our relationship with Russia, he was just lying?

What wonders me most is if those who support that bill are deluded enough to believe it would work? How detached must someone be from reality to believe that a step like this would achieve the intended goal?

This interference caused even parties that opposse NS II to now support it. From far right AfD to communist "Die Linke", all side with chancellor Merkel and call for a quick completion of this project.

Germany is rich in intellectual and social capital, which is the most valuable resource there is.

They can cut it off on a whim, but they won't. Because, unlike you, they live in the real world.

Your wild imaginings do not coincide with reality. You should probably rectify that.

By purchasing cheap energy to help power their country? What a bizarre interpretation.

And you're dumb enough to believe that Russia would arbitrarily cut off gas supplies to Germany. Such a scenario only exists in your fevered imagination.

Russia never cut gas supply to Germany. Even in worst times of cold war.

Reality is Putin needs the cash desperatly. Thats why he build NS I and II. So he can go around Poland and Ukraine to directly ship to Germany. The entire core of the project is, that no matter what happens with Poland and Ukraine, gas flow to Germany cant be cut off.

No, he's just a liar who broke his promise to improve our relationship with Russia. As far as I can tell, Trump's policy towards Russia is exactly what crooked Hillary would have done.

Except Russia would never do that, because Russia benefits from selling energy to Germany.

That the EU is headquartered in Brussels does not change the fact that Germany is obviously the most powerful member of the EU.

Why do so many Trump supporters sound like Hillary Clinton?

When did Trump supporters join the anti-Russian insanity being promoted by Hillary and the Democrats?

When Trump promised to improve our relationship with Russia, was he just lying like he always does?

I bet if Trump came out in favor of the pipeline tomorrow, every one of you would instantly reverse your position to reflect Trump's.

Literally anything Trump says or does, you will agree with it, no matter how dishonest, stupid, or reckless it is.

Do you deny that Germany is the dominant member of the EU or not?

Germany is going backwards by shutting down nuclear plants and relying more heavily on fossil fuels. Why not focus on nuclear safety and waste disposal rather than foolishly moving away from it entirely and, in the process, giving Russia more power over Germany and Europe and handing them a lot more money to use for their aggression?

Germany's economy is doing great. They just posted a $65 billion budget surplus. I thought "conservatives" supported that kind of thing. Meanwhile, the US is on track to post another $1 trillion budget deficit. Look what Trump has turned you into. You attack a country that is fiscally responsible and has large budget surpluses while celebrating a president who has added trillions of dollars to US debt despite promising to do the exact opposite. Trump has done more to destroy the conservative movement in the USA than any commie or Democrat.

Care to explain how Russia gains power over Germany, when they depend on the sales and have zero flexibility to change customers, while we can buy from anyone when needed?

Russia stops delivering through Nordstream? Ok, we buy from Iran then via Hamburg. But who can Putin sell his gas too? He cant switch the gas fields connected to Germany via pipeline to China.

Im for nuclear energy. Our reactors are the best in the world and im in a party that will try to bring it back online. Doesnt change anything about needing fuel. I cant heat my home nuclear.

    I don't disagree, it's a mistake but it's their call.

As the EU continues the green path following 16 yr old girls waving the impending doom climate change banner they'll be freezing in the dark soon enough.

As I remember Germany has been switching off its nuclear power. Nature has a cruel sense of humor, they'll regret this in the comming ice age.

Russia's Navy would submarine launch ICBM's from the Baltic and Mediterranean seas and be over Germany in a matter of minutes. Long before the German military even knew what was going on.

What I can say, is that mainstream Washington wants to be a major buyer of all INTL markets around the world. Basically, so long as there's dependence on the US, that's good. But if other nations find anti-US resources(not even anti-US, more like non-US to be specific) then it would cause a problem for our money pigbacking politicians. A lot of it is greed, not so-much anti-German sentiment. You could be England, and we'd have almost the same response verbatim.

I'm not so enthusiastic about our budget surplus.
We're doing great at the moment, but only because major important investments are being hold back in favor of being able to show pretty numbers.

Agreed, but it'll be the Russian Army advancing into or marshaling in Poland or Ukraine that gets nuked. Just my opinion of course.

We have 8 nuclear reactors running. Beside that, we dont heat with nuclear power. Homes are heated with gas or oil.

And what should we regret? If needed we build nee reactors. Its not rocket science.

No you are over associating the act. The sanctions are specific to the companies.
