    Full Title:

Matt Gaetz’s 2008 DUI arrest resurfaces after jab at Hunter Biden’s substance abuse. Here’s what happened.

U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz took a jab at Hunter Biden’s past substance abuse during Thursday’s House impeachment hearings, leading a Democratic colleague to call the Pensacola Republican a hypocrite.

    https://www.tampabay.com/florida-po...r-bidens-substance-abuse-heres-what-happened/

    ___________

    So?

We have a Top Republican (and one of Trump's most vocal defenders) bringing up Hunter Biden's (apparent) use of drugs at yesterday's hearing.

    BUT, here's the thing:

Gaetz had (in the past) been arrested for DUI.

So, Dem. Hank Johnson called him out as a hypocrite.

Apparently, at least in the Halls of Congress, some members of the GOP still haven't learned the meaning of "Pot meet Kettle".

    Thoughts?

This Drunk Driving Congressional GOP JAILBIRD is trying to call out Hunter Biden?

    Too funny.

The FACE of The GOP is a Drunk Driving Jailbird.

    ^Let that sink in.

I don't think Poor Lil' Matty Gaetz thought this through very well.

From your article.........."Charges against Gaetz were dismissed after events that included, among other things, the forced resignation of the arresting officer.". Sounds like the officer did something wrong. Pro Tip: An arrest is NOT a conviction.

Hank Johnson thinks Guam will tip over if we put too much stuff on it.

    Cool story though.

Since this is a crime it amazes me that he isn't a hero to the left now.

Do you ever bother to research something before you post?

The answer is “yes.” Mouthwash, along with a number of other things, can cause a breathalyzer to produce an incorrect blood alcohol reading which, in turn, can cause a person to be falsely arrested for DUI.Nov 1, 2013

    Yes. I do

it’s on the internet. It MUST be true. 1980 called and wanted the DUI defense back. It’s a good way to get laughed at in court these days.

    1. I can fool a breathalyzer with mouthwash, perfume, and other similar substances

This one has a small grain of truth to it, since some results can be slightly skewed by things like mouthwash, but most technology has progressed far beyond that. Only hydrocarbons from alcohol register on modern breathalyzers. However, you should always wait about 15 minutes after using mouthwash and substances that have trace amounts of alcohol if you’re in a court-ordered IID program.

15 minutes???? Ridiculous hypothetical is still just ridiculous

The main take away here is...

If his dad was a powerful Democrat he would have got away with it.

Then they will take you to the station and run your breathalyzer on the state calibrated system. Allowing the last few drops of booze to register as well as reduce outside influences such as Nyquil

Yeah, Gaetz isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

The guy obviously STILL has a Major Substance Abuse Problem.

Just watching his absurd histrionics during the hearings, everybody can tell that he is "on somethihg".

    Booze, Drugs, you name it.

Rather have him then this idiot. This tool is literally deciding the impeachment of our leader.

This global socialist puppet is so stupid he literally believes landing troops on Gaum could flip the island over. He is a leading Democrat and a perfect example of who the kind of people running impeachment are.
