Yeah, people are stupid if they don't vote for progressive nonsense. Where have we heard that before?

Scotland will not be given an independence vote. They have to be granted one, and cannot force one. I do not see the desire for it, despite what Sturgeon claims. Let's not forget that again, more people voted for Brexit in Scotland than voted for the SNP at this election. A lot of the SNP success is also down to Labour's failure so I personally think their support is overstated.

NI voted to leave the EU but a lot of that will hinge on the eventual deal and how NI can benefit going forward. Ireland is more of a concern than Scotland and I feel that Irish Unity is something which is and has been far more likely to happen than an independent Scotland.

The NHS has been under Tory rule for 80% of it's existence. The biggest privatisation happened under Tony Blair, along with PFI's which are the real cancer to the NHS. Do you honestly believe the NHS will be sold off and privatised to the point that we have to pay retrospectively to use it?

HARK at you trying your totalitarianism towards what you see as your colony in Scotland - and you claim not to be the hard right.

We will leave as will NIreland and you can do your little britain all on your own.....and it is even better this time because if you do not give us the deal we want then we will just follow your example as to your intent to the EU and leave paying nothing. :)

It is not accurate to say these election results apply to Britain or the Brits. It is simply the English. Britian is now a severely divided State, waiting for appropriate arrangements for an Independent Scotland and United Ireland. Britain is over in all but deed. It is the English you are talking about who may have bought the campaign of lies against Corbyn which even 4 years ago an LSE study described as an attack on democracy.

There is no individual right to create a theocratic state. Now, when the Palestinians start to fight for a state to protect their individual rights to “...life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” instead of “Bow to Allah and pray I don’t behead you” they’ll have my support. Until then, fk ‘em—let them reap what they sow.

I think the term is "landslide" for Boris. Great news for the UK. And never to be unable to demonstrate her own stupidity, the SNP leader announced that she's so mad she's going to try independence again. Typical liberal brat....

It's law my friend. Not totalitarian in the slightest.

I'll humour the idea for a second. What are you doing about having the worst GDP to Debt ratio in the EU? What currency will you use? Just for a start, answer those two.

The lesson here is that the Labour moved so far left, and elected a leader so unpopular, that they were unelectable. Remember Michael Foot?
Had Labour had a popular leader and a senssible manifesto, including a definable position on Brexit, then they would likely have won easily. Now we have Trump2 in Downing Street, a populist loudmouth, liar and cheat.
Still, the £ has appreciated which is good for my finances....

Scotland held a referendum in 2014 asking the Scottish people if they wanted to be an independent country. The people voted no.
So it's back to Sturgeons attitude of; "Let's keep having referendums and voting until you get it right"

They would not have won. They may have retained a few more seats and perhaps won a few but, just like the Democrats plan of tax and spend the majority of the people can see that the numbers didn't add up and nobody believes a politicians promises much these days.

    An interesting stat:

To Labour politicians like Campbell and Corbyn, “Blair” is a dirty word that represents centrism and the selling out of the party’s socialist roots.

It seems the British electorate does not agree. The rout of Corbyn—and the loss of millions of working-class voters—means that by the time of the next election, Blair will have been the only Labour leader to win a general election in 50 years.

Yep, ol' Boris and his Conservative party have achieved a stunning victory throughout the UK -- but -- look at an "action timeline" that will kick-in even if Brexit 'happens' at the end of January 2020. It will be at least the end of December of 2020 before any real change occurs at all!

While I sympathize with English voters wanting to get rid of the smothering EU bureaucracy trying to jamb even more 'political-correctness' and 'diversity and inclusiveness' mandates down Britain's throat, the path to getting totally out of the EU will be LONG and tedious -- even if there are no more of these endless delays. Indeed, our politics are remarkably similar which is why so many of us in the U.S. were keenly watching your election. Big political developments in Britain have a habit of repeating themselves in America., ex. Thatcher then Reagan, Brexit then Trump...

Another thing that impressed me were the inroads Conservatives made into areas and constituencies that Labour has controlled for almost a century. The collapse of the "Red Wall" is strikingly similar to Trump's victories in our old industrial Rust Belt states where a lot of working class voters who have been abandoned by the "progressives" in the "new Democratic party" (to use former Dem AG Eric Holder's term) crossed the political aisle and voted Republican.

If what you say is true, then tariffs will go to zero and healthcare will be privatized. Won’t happen, but I’ll be happy if it does.

This just seems “Hard Right” to because you fail to recognize Che Guevara, Castro, Chavez, Maduro, and Stalin as human butchering monsters. You think they are friends of humanity. You see them as heroes.

That’s an that’s going to take a whole lotta rethink to correct. You can start here: “My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.”—Ayn Rand

Yes and to this day, neither the democrats or labour understand why they lost and are still losing. I honestly do not know what world they are living in. I'm convinced that even I could win an election for Labour or the Democrats. It's actually really simple to fix.
