What does "due process" have to do with what we're talking about? If the guy refuses to supply the pill, he should lose his license.

The "morning after" pill is also for women who have been assaulted.

I was curious now to find out how many states have some type of Consience clause, here is what I found so far:

What states have a conscience clause?
Conscience clauses have been adopted by a number of U.S. states. including Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota.

What type of law is the conscience clause?
Conscience clause is a legislative provision that relieves a person from compliance on religious grounds. ... This clause was first enacted in response to the United States Supreme Court's decision in Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (U.S. 1973).

    What is the conscience rule?
The new rule broadly defines federal conscience laws. Covered entities and protected activities are equally broad, including those performing services, paying for services (private and employer-based insurance), counseling, or even referring to other physicians.May 15, 2019

So she should have to drive for an over an hour because a single man wants to intervene in her healthcare, and she is the problem?

The narrative would be funny if it wasn’t serious

How much more strained is this analogy going to get? We're talking about a pharmacist who won't sell a specific drug. He does sell others.

Your bartender sells booze. He just refuses to sell tequila. It doesn't matter why. He doesn't have to even if his reason is that he hates Mexicans. You can't use the force of government to force him to sell tequila if he doesn't want to, and you shouldn't no matter how much you hate or want to punish his reason for not selling it.

Now if he did sell it to men, but refused women I'd be right with you. If he sold to Christians but not Muslims or whites but not Chinese I'd fight that right by your side. But that's not the case. He doesn't sell it to anyone, and there's nothing you should do about that other than buy from the people that sell the products you want.

sure, if the business doesn't want to sell cakes or meds they can do so... but these are in stock, so they obviously want to sell them

but yep, agree 100% this is much worse than the cake incident (though that is bad too), especially when you have to ask a pharmacist to get the medications for you and time is critical for the medication to work

Who says the pharmacist doesn't like pharmaceuticals? All we know for sure is that he didn't like one specific one. Does everyone in a trade have to agree with all common practice in a trade? That sounds like the opposite of progressivism. How do trades change in your view?

You don't help everyone. You have boundaries. You draw lines about who you help and who you don't.

I helped even kurps with finding the source that the gimp no longer works in a pharmacy.
And when it couldn't find the text in the article. I posted the appropriate line.
And when it couldn't find the line in the article, I even posted the entire article, with the line in red.

That's what I did, without getting paid.
    Can you imagine....
