Wow. I wonder how much more wrongdoing in his department Comey will admit to before this is all over. I thought allegations of wrongdoing were just RW conspiracies?

Would be nice if some on the LW here would be big enough to say, 'He was right, I was wrong' on this subject.

Maybe you can tell us, why wasn't Trump given a defensive briefing if the FBI really thought his campaign was being infiltrated by a foreign power, like Sen Feinstein was when her staff was infiltrated?

The FBI has become a rogue criminal organization full of Democrats who think they are king makers. The FBI needs to be totally scrapped and a new agency needs to be formed. One similar to the FBI, but whose agents have to follow rules and protocols.

 

Very possibly, remember the FBI is a creation of Congress, they aren't some co-equal branch of government. As was asked at the Wed. hearing, if this could happen to a presidential candidate, what would stop it from happening to you or I?

Comey's playing dumb, as if he just trusted his team to be doing everything right and he had no idea what was going on. La...la...la...I didn't know. Best case scenario, that makes him the most incompetent FBI Director in history. I wonder if Durham can file criminal charges on him, or if he gets off the hook for saying, "I had no idea there was any negligence or criminality going on. Wasn't my fault." He did finally say, "As Director, I was responsible for this.....There were mistakes made which were more consequential than this." Really? More consequential to whom???? Not more consequential to Trump.

That was the "opening kickoff" to the 2-year Mueller investigation which cost taxpayers nearly $32 Million. All of it based on the unsubstantiated "Steele dossier", paid for by Clinton and the DNC to dig up dirt on Trump.

Comey admitting that he was wrong (or ignorant) about everything surrounding the FISA warrants is huge. Whether he gets off the hook or not by saying that he just didn't have a clue what FBI staff were doing because he trusted them provides more vindication of innocence to Trump and his 2016 campaign team. Comey lied to the media assuring everyone that everything going on in the FBI was above board.

Sure wish Durham would finish up soon. They're saying to expect that report to take months and months to wrap up.

 

My fear is that those investigating the investigators are a part of the same team. Hope I am wrong.

Yes, there was a Russia investigation before Mueller was brought in. Page, Flynn, and Stone were under investigation before Mueller. The Steele Dossier was used to get the partisan-based 2nd FISA warrant in order to wiretap and spy on Page.
