You mean an agreement with absolutely no enforcement potential? One where any nation could just set and fail to meet benchmarks with no fear of repercussions? It was a stupid idea, and leaving that nonsense was one of the smartest things Trump has done...

Alright so Australia is facing a heat wave, not unprecedented seeing how this has happened multiple times before, however it's happening and we humans, depending on who you ask, are to blame.

So what are we supposed to do? The issue is indeed bigger than just one person with a Prius but individual folks need to help and become to change they wish to see.

What are you personally willing to sacrifice to help save OUR planet? Bringing attention to issue is good, but what are you doing in real life to help?

I still don't see the downside of warming anyway. Not that humans have anything to do with it, but it would mean longer growing seasons, more arable land over time, and a significant decrease in the use of fossil fuels now expended for heating. I suppose the only downside is that hucksters and frauds would have to swap sides again and harp on about a coming ice age just to keep their government money flowing...

There are more variables and feedback loops involved not known to make viable predictions .

Plus as the emminent Dyson has said there may be more positives involved than negatives. Worse case scenerios are being promoted.

The sweet climate we have had for thousands of years wasnt permanent. It allowed humanity to f flourish and grow Each past warming was positive .
Higher in ppm is greening up this planet as rain forests are devastated .removing co2 extracting trees .Yet the destruction of co2 removal flora is not taxed .Nor halted.

The lack of concern about other factors is suspect .And another incoherence . Red flags. Nothing to see so move along.

Quite easy to see why many people are skeptics in regards to AGW .

Yet the true believers just uses derogatory insults. Because it became political .

Is there new info in the article that would reveal something new? Or just old info used again? I assumed the latter. Did I make an error in assuming?

What I want to see is a serious debate of info and research on this issue using the scientists who have different views. The so called 3 percent. So that we are informed of why the opposition are having a problem .

Why has this not happened?Fear of being shunned in academia at worse? Threats of job loss?

Or do the people of certainty fear the 3 percent?

This debate by scientists is long overdue and could change reasonable minds in numbers. Only the lower iq people would be immune to reason.

    Me? Plenty

But that is not the answer

The answer lies in global political pressure and we were nearly there
