When are you going to step up and do something besides point the fingers at others?

Yes, and some have including our own CSIRO who are doing research on subjects as varied as gut bacteria changes for ruminants to reduce methane production

Yes I know but there is a problem. When this sponge dries out it is hard to grow anything. And a layer of mulch will give you about an inch of humus once it is broken down. So a foot thick of mulch will give you one inch of good soil. It is just not enough... and without rain you will get very little... if any organic matter to put in the soil not to mention loss of income.

Charles Massy is an Australian farmer who implements these methods very successfully

Summary of denialist posts so far

    “I don’t think so”
    “Government bad”
“I haven’t read it but I know it is wrong”
“I haven’t read it but I will keep asking you to do more research that I won’t read whilst asserting it is wrong and demanding more research”
“It’s not science”( this is the most hilarious because it invariably comes from someone who does not use citations to support any claims)

Funny , I have actually thought of using the Sahara as an inland shallow sea for the same purpose and 20191204_161107.jpg I have been wondering if salt water can be desalinated efficiently using evaporation powered by sunlight. This glass .. right now.... is using the sun to heat my ponds. I know it doesn't look scientific but I didn't want to spend money on it. If I just tilt the panels and add a pipe to catch the water I can see how much water could be desalinated. Just an idea I have had.

That isn't a roll of toilet paper. It was a metal post that wouldn't come out of the ground. So I cut the pipe off and put a plastic flower pot over it and filled it with cement to keep anyone from cutting themselves. And a pebble on the top.

It is solid sandstone and backhoe are expensive. My neighbor had a bunch of cinder blocks laying around and I offered to buy them. He gave them to me. I took the inch or two of gravel off and leveled the first row and put down the block. Then I poured the floor with sand and cement. Then I put a raised basin above the top pond 20191025_125714.jpg The columns are poured into cardboard tubes from the place I worked. 20191204_160719.jpg 20191204_160719.jpg the pipe goes from the top pond to the bottom pond. So the water is pumped from the bottom pond to the basin and it falls to the top pond and then goes through a pipe to the bottom pond. The elbow can be turned up or down to control .... somewhat... the level of the top pond. The bottom pond will contain rocks and plants so it will be a heater in winter and a filter all year long. 20191025_130131.jpg This plastic pool contains plants. I just need some cabomba and anacarius.
