I could give a list but I absolutely guarantee that it would turn into a continuous personal attack

And that is not where we will win this fight. It has to be a coordinated global effort and that means something like the Paris accords

    Never heard of her

Are you finished throwing random people out there?

Or are you just going to align yourself with the likes of Judith Curry and Lord Moncton?

See I can play that game too!

It is off topic and counterproductive as it takes as much time AS ACTUALLY RESEARCHING A SCIENCE BASED REBUTTAL.

How I long to see one of those!

The Paris Accords were about wealth distribution. Countries like China are going to do what they want even if they agree to a toothless accord.

BTW, the politicization of science isn't good for science. Shutting out debate is what has happened in Climate Science and it has become political. Even now the dialog has been taken over with projections based, not on science, but on computer models and the model that is used is one that is not even probable. As it is, the US has done the best of first world countries in reducing emissions so anything we do here will not effect the alleged fix. China and India are the world leaders in building fossil fuel power plants so unless you propose going to war with them, that will not change.

As it is, even if you stopped all CO2 production to the detriment of society, it will not change the fact that we are at or near the end of the Holocene by maybe 400 years before the next glaciation.

Of course you dismiss an actual climate scientist that believes in global warming but not what is happening now with the politicization of science.

    Where is your science?

See I can derail a thread too by focusing on people rather than the science

So let’s get back to what is causing all of this

Do you disagree that the rise in co2 levels are causing global warming?

It's not an opinion. Every time I'm in Europe I listen to their garbage to remind myself just how in the toilet the BBC has gone. But I'm sure the FAKE NEWS faithful think otherwise....like yourself.

No personal attacks from me I assure you for obvious reasons...

I only ask because my ideology revolves around consistency and non hypocrisy. I am a 100% advocate of becoming the actual change that you wish to see, and that is in regards to anything. When it comes to climate change the overwhelming vast majority of folks are hypocrites who benefit from and enjoy the modern world that we live in and the products we have while simultaneously complaining against "evil corporations". Seriously, a huge chunk of the twitter tweets sent out talking about "corporations are bad!" end with "sent from iPhone".

Or as the case with my extremely progressive old friend who spends half of her day complaining via Facebook about how the world is going to end before her kids grow up who buys pallets of individual bottled water because she thinks the tap water is harmful and shes too lazy to use a Brita.

However, if you are actually taking active steps to reduce YOUR carbon footprint while simultaneously bringing to light the issues with government and corporations involving climate change then good on you and I respect that. If you are like the kids sitting in Starbucks drinking overpriced coffee out of a paper straw and think that counts as "doing your part" while fussing at folks via your iPhone XI that you "had to have" from an evil corporation then sorry I have no respect for that.

There is a LOT we have to and plastic straws and carbon emissions are only a part

Our state govt recently banned plastic shopping bags. It’s a pain because now my purse contains multiple folding bags but it has forced everyone to start recycling

Five years ago there were multiple threads on this forum grizzling about how everyone was going to go broke using renewables now everyone is celebrating reduced energy costs

I just read where China is going to be selling hundred of coal fired power stations to developing countries

DAMN! If we were really a cohesive global group the industrialised countries could head that off by offering cheaper renewable and battery units as part of foreign aid

Yes Trump announced his intentions to withdraw way back 2017 and would be effective by 2020, in one way or another this could insinuate other countries to follow.

Australia professor Steve Carter said alot about this subject.

This has not much to do with science all about politics

    Just two quick questions..

    1) do you agree the earth has all been changing?

    Yes

    Or

    No

    2) how much is man caused by deforestation and fossil fuels?

    2%?

    9% ?

    50% ?

    75%?

    100%?

Remember the new NASA CO2 satellite that the IPCC uses.

Who hasn’t been employed in his field since 1998 and died in 2016

    Out of date much?

    Now where is the science?

Me? I prefer the Garnaut review although that is a bit dated now

Garnaut is an Australian economist who has studied climate change

Yes and wouldn’t it be nice to have a way to globally address the problem of China?

Or if only the nations in the Paris Agreement, such as the one you specifically mentioned, actually adhered to said agreement then it would be seen as a valid global agreement for the better of the planet. Instead it's treated as a lip service agreement with no actual value for the aforementioned reasons. But it's the United States' fault somehow while simultaneously being the leader is emissions reductions regardless...

Tell me, why are the other 186 nations letting China sell coal fired powerplanets and not offering up cheaper renewable and battery units as part of foreign aid? If they all pitched in together surely they could come up with enough money to fund that.

Or is America supposed to foot that bill for some reason even though I keep hearing "this is ALL OF OUR planet".

Of course it has everything to do with science now why are you avoiding the questions..

    They are simple

    1) did the climate always change

    2) how much is this natural variation and how much is it man made?

    Simple questions to an expert..

We need the political power that the USA holds

Without the USA the latest talks have fallen apart
    https://theconversation.com/the-mad...led-spectacularly-heres-what-went-down-128921
America has long been looked at as a world leader, now sadly we are preparing for a future where China not America will lead the world
