Trump was impeached with more votes against him than any other president

    https://www.businessinsider.com/tru...t-more-votes-against-than-anyone-else-2019-12

So yesterday, I put the over/under on Democratic No votes at 5.5. The result was under at 2.5 (counting Golden as 0.5). And perhaps you could go up by another 0.5 if you count Tulsi Gabbard's "Present" vote (seriously, wtf).

But apparently the 230 "yes" vote total is also the most raw impeachment votes for any impeached President in history. As an aside, Andrew Johnson was impeached at a time when there were only 37 States, so his percentage is higher.

But for those who'd like to point out that Democrats simply had a larger majority than Republicans did during Clinton's era, I would note that the Trump is also the reason why Democrats were able to obtain such a significant majority in 2018.

Rashida Tlaib was right. We impeached the *********ker!

And the only one with no crime charged and with no bi-partisanship.

No, the Mueller hoax was still ongoing then and gave your party a boost.

Will love to see the look on this dingbat's face when Trump wins next year.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. The people who said they were going to impeach Trump less than 20 minutes after he took office have finally decided to impeach him. What took so long? And what happened to Pelosi's claim that impeachment must be bi-partisan?

As for Tlaib, you should be ashamed that she's one of yours. How's her ethics inquiry going?

Well, there was bipartisan support NOT to impeach, does that count? ;)

(I'm teasing, I totally agree with your point. With only a few exceptions this was completely party line. A few Democrats jumped ship and voted nay (or present), but no Republicans voted to support this witchhunt stunt.)

I applaud Van Drew, Peterson, and Golden for having the balls to stand up to the Democrats. Tulsi's "present" vote seems sort of cowardly and fence-sitter-ish. She should have just voted "nay".

As for Tlaib, what a class act. <<< 100% sarcasm

The anti-Impeachment side was the ONLY BI-PARTISAN part of this event.

    Let that sink in.

Have you noticed how the people who are upset with the way Trumps speaks have no problem proudly quoting Tlaib?

The vote count simply tells me that Trump is doing the job he was elected to do (reducing the woke progressives to squealing infants).

Justin Amash had one of the most conservative voting records in the House.

Let's take a look at the 2018 exit polls and see what percentage of voters said the Russia investigation was justified.

    upload_2019-12-19_16-29-11.png

That's from the CNN exit polls.

So, a significant majority of voters (+13%) said the Russia investigation was politically motivated and, of those who said it was, 73% voted for the Republican. So where's the boost?

So the Mueller investigation must have shown up in the Ads, right? Nope.

Mueller is everywhere, except the midterms

You never know where a great patriot will emerge. Sometimes something as vile as the DNC will accidentally produce a great American.

Guess Pelosi thought at the time that there was something, anything that republicans would be willing to impeach on. Must’ve realized there was no end to the lengths the right would go to protect this disgrace; not when they saw the chance to shift the political balance for decades. All it cost them was their souls. At least now they can never again claim to be the moral majority.

That is going to make it all the more delicious when he is re-elected don't you think?
BTW, now on the bench and still counting, 175 fresh faced judges.

Do you realize that your post implies that Justin Amash (who voted for impeachment) is a great patriot?

I meant to say "threat," not "thread."

But to your point about bi-partisanship, I would note A) Justin Amash and B) I am saddened by the Republican's unwillingness to put country over party.
