"Moreover, the desire to harm Russian exports is not the only and not even the main thing. To no lesser extent, there is a desire to sell American liquefied gas to Europe, which costs much more for Europe than pipeline supplies from Russia, and thereby slow down the development of its economy, and to undermine the ability to compete with the United States on world markets," reads the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

This defense has worked so far on Sobo  But it's plain wrong, of course. Russia could pipe more through Ukraine, but are trying instead to bypass that route. The sanctions have nothing to do with selling more US LNG to Europe.

I believe the southern pipelines, from Russia through Ukraine, were charging a "transit fee," by various Ukrainian regimes, which were in turn "licensed" to various Ukrainian oligarchs. Maybe the Germans just wanted to cut-out the costs of the "middle men?"

It's the view and the stance of the Germans as well, and the only thing we accomplished here is making ourselves look bad:

"the American ideology of life on loan could not survive the global competition."-Does this not upset you? Make you feel upset? Not only have we resorted to petty tactics, but it outright says we feel we can't compete in the global market. These sanctions aren't/weren't it. Compete on the global scale, don't try to tip it to our favor.

Seems to be our new mode of operation.

Have you heard of the Siberian permafrost? Well, due to global warming it's melting and releasing vast amounts of methane into the atmosphere. It needs urgent utilization, namely burning for heating/electricity.

    Don't be so narrow-minded. :alien:

Whether in Rubles, Euros, RMB, or whatever - it's a good move. The world has to bring the U.S. to its' knees and force them to account for their dishonest practice of printing money without gold backing. It is time for them to either get honest or self-destruct.

You don't mean to say, Trump is doing something to hurt Russia? How's that possible? :confusion:

Apparently you are not well informed, why do you think this pipe line is called Nord Strom 2.
The pipe line through Ukraine and Poland is very old, comes from the Soviet era.
By the way Russia and Ukraine signed a new agreement.

    Pfffffffffffffffffffffff.
100 miles left to built, you really believe, that this moronic act will stop the pipe line being finished.
Only a dumb red neck like Cruz could come up with this.
The Russian have a ship in the Far East and will bring into the Baltics. Takes about 30 days or so. Give it a nother 30 days to prep and than 3 weeks later the pipe line will be finished. 6 month later gas will flow. Not just to Germany but it will go all over the EU.

Not much the Amis can do about it. The moronic useless Congress and its President screwed up any deal concerning US LNG.

Come back when you have lawmakers with a education and a President who can count past 0, to be worth any respect.

Sorry my friend, did not make many. But here's one, just for you - a view from my hotel room! And with a little ingenuity, you can even find out in which hotel I've stayed :D

I see you are still running around screaming "Russia Russia Russia" - and when folks disagree with you - you then call them "Russian trolls" - projecting your issue onto them.

Doesn't this silliness ever get old ? -
