No offence but as tourist you go to famous cities and when you see San Francisco you are shocked. My girl actually was disgusted several times. The hotel ect was ok but as soon you left the tourist sites it was bad.

 

That's the mistake, going to tourist hotspots. The USA is very large. Next time, try a beach in Florida. Just avoid hurricane and red tide season (fish kills on the beaches)

The water tight bulkheads of titanic were nothing like those on a modern warship. For one thing they didn't reach all the way to the deck. By the way the Titanic's displacement weight of 52310 tons is about 1/2 that of the Reagan.

The bulkhead of those compartment didn't go all the way up, so as the compartments filled and the ship sank, water went over the bulkhead and filled the next compartment and so on. Also, the titanic had a riveted hull which is more susceptible to sheer off.

Also, if you read the official report on the titanic you'll see that most of the survivors reported that the ship sank without breaking. James Cameron movie isn't a documentary and it's common for ship to break after sinking while going down.

As I said the carrier isn't in the Gulf a couple of smaller ships attached to the carrier group are. A carrier group contains a minimum of five ships often more.

We've just seen Iraq's parliament vote to have our military leave Iraq entirely. Our chances in Afghanistan may be in the process of being reduced as the Taliban and others watch our welcome in the ME weaken.

Plus, it's clearly a hit to our security relationships in Europe to have the US take such a radical step without even notification. Of course, Trump didn't even notify the Gang of 8, but it's no surprise he would ignore congress.


I suspect the percent of people from Pakistan all the way to Syria that would like to see us get the heck out of the region is pretty darn high right now.

I'd point out that traveling around Europe is far easier than traveling around the US.

 

American nuclear warheads can strike within 100 meters of their targets. So none of them targeted on Iran would come remotely near hitting any other nation.
