So sick of women who parade about having unprotected sex just so they can get abortions because they feel like gods choosing what lives and what doesn’t.

Abortion should not be paid for by tax dollars except maybe if it was a proven rape by a court.

Perhaps abortion kills the right people; after all, it's not killing the children of good people is it? There is a time to kill, and who knows better who should be killed than their very own mothers. Just think about this. If not for Roe v Wade, there would now be among us, just here in the USA, another thirty some million people all raised by mothers who would have just as soon killed them had it been legal. Of course abortion kills people, but it kills the right people. I think that we need to keep abortion legal so that mothers can choose the slain; after all, moms know.

I'd like to think that there would be no bad people in the world if moms were just able to exercise their right to abortion.

Forcing rape victims to have their rapists baby is like raping the victim a second time - Abortion is the choice of the potential mother, the government should stay out of it

if we want to reduce abortions, put plan b in every rape kit, let the victim decide to take it or not

if we want to reduce abortions, make long term birth control easier to obtain for the poor

You're right. Abortion does not affect any other person in society other than those involved. However, a lack of abortions would affect us all. If not for Roe v Wade, there would now be among us, just here in the USA, another thirty some million, very real, people all raised by mothers who would have just as soon killed them had it been legal. Of course abortion kills people, but it kills the right people. Do you really think that a mom would kill the wrong baby, especially if it's hers?

    Ummmmm

    Just who is doing that?

You are aware are you not that an abortion is neither convenient or pleasant

As for “proven rape in court” we had a case here (until recently abortion was illegal) the child was 12 and the victim of gang rape - took months to get the court permission

And teaching men about contraception. I cannot count the number of men on these threads who claim condoms are effective contraception

You can solve that by stopping imaging they exist.

One major problem there being that a lot of rape cases take more than nine months to conclude.

But not sick of men who parade about having unprotected sex? Or are you referring to the women who get pregnant all on their own, without the 'assistance' of a man?

Me? I'm so sick of people feeling justified in making decisions about the lives and bodies of women they don't know and making assumptions about their sex lives. I'm also sick of those who whine about their tax dollars paying for abortions AS WELL AS whining about their tax dollars paying for social programs to help in the raising of those children they don't want aborted.

From your post, I take it you would be on board with something like this...
The following is a compromise proposal that a bunch of us at Politicalforum came up with a while ago.
We basically used a Ranked Vote to determine what the general consensus was... so, what do you think?
    http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/pf-abortion-reform-compromise.550627/
    An acceptable proposal to you?

Keep my tax dollars away from mass murderers!

Most abortion happens in the early stages of pregnancy - when no living human can be shown to exist ... so your fallacious appeal to emotion does not cut it as an argument.

Many pregnancies result from protected sex. Would you be for funding that ?

My argument is purely economic - it costs a heck of a lot more to bring an unwanted child into a disfuntional environment - than the cost of abortion.

Nowhere did the OP mention these scenarios. I'm pretty sure he's referring to people that use abortions as their primary birth control method.

My ex sister-in-law had four abortions before she was 22. She used it as a form of birth control.

    Disgusting.

    Hooray for Roe v. Wade!

Yeah... there always seems to be a lot of confusion in these types of debates.
Which is why imo its important for folks to state things clearly and in plain language
when sharing their positions, and to not make assumptions regarding everyone else's positions.

Sometimes also lost is the fact that it isn't necessarily a binary choice.
Anyways... what would you say your position is? How does it compare to this PF compromise proposal?

you're hung up on the fact that they were people... they weren't

every person has the right to rid themselves of a parasite, in whichever form it comes...

sure he did, he said rape victims should have to go to court to get permission to not have their rapists baby - I say this is a personal choice, not one for the government to make

time is critical, getting approval from a court could take months if not years

that proposal, as it stands, would be a luxury of the wealthy, why exclude the poor..

the one's whom society would prefer to get abortions wouldn't be able to do so, leading to 10's of millions of new wards of the state, collecting assistance...

that'd be counter-productive, better to spend a small fraction of tax dollars on the procedure that would eliminate higher tax burden upon us all (well, those that pay taxes)

no women should treat her womb like a public playground. No women should have unprotected sex unless she is prepared to respect life.

you control your body, they will control theirs

people that support big government want government to choose when a women has a baby, the rest of us feel that is a personal choice only the women can make

if we want to reduce abortion, make it easier for the poor to get access to long term birth control options

99% of abortions have nothing to do with rape.
