You are calling these people sexual abusers, etc. based mostly on accusation. Most of them deny the accusations. aren't they entitled to a day in court before their reputations are smeared?

    Not fond of deviates, either.

If the #metoo movement is about conviction without trial, I do indeed denounce it, just as I denounce the provisions of the NDAA 2012 pertaining to indefinite detention without charge of US citizens. I am willing to admit there is a power imbalance between the #metoo victims and their victimizers, but the solution is not to give all the power to those who claim to be victimized.

O bullshit too. The only thing Republicans used to do was go on and on about how moral they were and everyone else degenerates. And while they were writing laws bashing gay people and impeaching a President for getting a BJ they were becoming wrestling coaches so as have the best seats to watch HS boys in the shower. Trump is robbing us all blind and the bigots cheer him on because he hates the right people.

True. But you are referring to them as "sexual abusers, harassers, rapists and enablers". You're saying that as if it were an accomplished fact instead of an accusation. You're not alone in your opinion from what I've seen online. The fact is that at least some of these people are accused, not convicted.

I don't mean to imply that they're as pure as the driven snow, but they deserve their chance to defend themselves.

So, given your views shared by others, it's not just ending the silence, but convicting them in the court of public opinion. I think this is just as wrong as indefinite detention without charge or McCarthy's witch hunt.

I dunno, about the same way Trump does.

Let's face it, if you were itching to vote for a moral candidate for prez in 2016 - you probably were gonna be disappointed with either choice.

Thing is, Gervais is spot-on. What we have with the Glitterati are a bunch of pampered Hollywood Half-wits who say what a writer tells them to say, walk the way a director tells them to walk, dress the way their fashion consultants and wardrobe departments tell them to dress, and think in approved ways their peers tell them to think - and these people who are really no better than trained parrots that get dozens of takes to do a line act as if they're better than the rest of us simply because they have an elevated platform to speak their nonsense. Well, they're not. Especially considering how many of them are against the 2A and yet have guns or have armed bodyguards, are pro-union but don't practice it in private life, tell us to cut down on consumption but overindulge on just about anything out there. And I have no problem with their having personal beliefs, but the sheer arrogance of them telling the hoi polloi what to do while doing the very opposite of what they say annoys the heck out of me. Oh yeah, they'll lecture us on racism while at the same time profitting off of the sweatshop labor of those brown people they "say" they love and living nowhere near them. Think about it - when a number of them said they were going to leave the US if Trump won, they all said they would move to Canada or some equally White place. It was quite telling no one said they would move to Mexico. Or Somalia. And of course they love to lecture everyone about sexual harassment while at the same time being (as a whole) the largest source of it out there.

Equally annoying is the Liberal GroupThink they engage in. Hollywood is basically a cesspool of the Intellectually, Morally, and Politically Incestuous. I mean, look HERE at an old article about our Glitterati friends worrying about if Trump would win back in 2016:

Gervais taking the p*ss out of them was quite refreshing. Sadly, few if any of these pampered peacocks have the ability to self-reflect enough to consider what they just heard. In large part, it's because there's no one there to challenge their beliefs and ideas - they all believe the same damn thing. They may believe in racial diversity and good for them for that, but they sure as heck don't believe in intellectual diversity and when you have that, you end up with people who yes, had Ronan Farrow not broken the story, these guys would STILL be shilling for Weinstein and be so far up Harvey's @$$ they'd be able to taste what he'd just eaten for breakfast.

Gervais has done this 4x before and said several times this was his last. How much do you want to bet he's on it again next year?

The man is flat out FUNNY, and that's a refreshingly large bit of what we need nowadays.

~ I think the U.S. has maintained dominance in spite of the ridiculous decisions handed down by elected political hacks. China should never have been allowed to violate intellectual & copywrite laws ; the "genius" sub-prime mortgage fiasco & resulting real estate crash ; 9-11 should never have happened ; Vietnam was a disaster; etc...

So it's okay for anyone to accuse anyone else of anything and for others to treat the accusation as fact? Many hoaxes have been perpetrated in this way Geraldo Rivera's satanic daycare panic ruined dozens of lives, e.g.

When we are blind to our history, we are doomed to relearn the lesson we forgot.

Nonsense, the witch hunts were all perpetrated by corrupt politicians - especially prosecutors and Members of Congress. All Americans have every right to form and express their own opinions unless they are sitting on a trial jury where the presumption of innocence is required as a check on crooked prosecutors. The attempts of the minions of the DP to suppress the accusers and cover up the sexual crimes of the powerful is disgraceful.

PARTIAL LIST OF RICH, POWERFUL SEXUAL ABUSERS, HARASSERS, RAPISTS AND ENABLERS, 2017/18 66 - 85 0f 545.

    66. Murray Miller, “The screenwriter best known for the hit TV series Girls was accused of sexual assault by actress Aurora Perrineau, according to a. Nov. 20 report from The Wrap. Perrineau, who alleges the incident occurred in 2012 when she was 17, filed a report at the West Hollywood station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Sgt. Nelson Rios confirmed to USA TODAY. Miller's attorney, Matthew B. Walerstein, sent USA TODAY a statement in which his client denied Perrineau's allegations. Girls creator and star Lena Dunham and executive producer Jenni Konner issued a statement Friday in support of Miller, which she later apologized for after receiving criticism.”

    67. Roy Moore, “The Republican candidate for U.S. Senator in Alabama was accused by eight women of a range of inappropriate conduct, ranging from unwanted attention to sexual misconduct and assault. Most of the incidents took place when Moore was assistant district attorney in Gadsden from 1977 to 1982. One woman, Leigh Corfman, said she was 14 when Moore, then 32, took her to his home, undressed her and guided her hand over his crotch. The legal age of consent, then and now, is 16. Moore calls the allegations "completely false," and plans to continue his Senate campaign.”

    68. Gilbert Rozon, “Comedy festival organizer Gilbert Rozon has been accused by at least nine women of sexually harassing or sexually assaulting them. Rozon stepped down as president of Montreal's renowned "Just for Laughs" festival and apologized "to all those I have offended during my life."

The letter was penned in support of former Tree Hill writer Audrey Wauchope, who detailed in a series of tweets the treatment female crew endured on the show. In a statement carried by Variety, E!, Universal Cable Productions and Lionsgate Television said, "We are monitoring the information carefully. (We) are committed to providing a safe working environment in which everyone is treated respectfully and professionally.”

Tom Sizemore, “The actor known for Saving Private Ryan, was accused of molesting an 11-year-old actress on the set of crime thriller Born Killers (shot as Piggy Banks) in 2003, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter published Nov. 13. The child actress allegedly told her mother that Sizemore touched her genitals during a photo shoot for the film. According to THR, her parents declined to press charges and months later, Sizemore returned for reshoots in Malibu. His agent, Stephen Rice, told the industry trade paper, "Our position is 'no comment.'"

US copyrights and IP basically exists only within the US law. At this point.

Companies invested in China, knowing they stole IP and patent rights. But still seemed to find it profitable to move operations there.
Is there a world IP and copyright enforcing organization?
    If not, there should be.
We are in a global world and it isn't going back.
