You simply CANNOT increase government AND lower taxes at the same time. Trump is a gdamn buffoon. When the bill comes due and the next crash happens I wonder how many of you will still defend the orange moron. He MUST be the stupidest pos to ever man the oval office.

Yep. We don't need any more socialism. We already have too much of it.

Vote third party(Which you appear to have done?).

Yeah I know, that's throwing your vote away and all the other negatives normally brought out as a response to that, but it's literally the only way we will ever progress past a 2 party dominant system.

I'll agree that people aren't saving, but if you note in the article, that's a choice they ate making.

Also, careful with those percentages. I don't have a 401k as my wife, but I do have an IRA as a small business owner, as do my employees. I also have non cash investments like real estate and my business.

People need to save and be responsible for themselves.

The point was that most Americans are effected very little — if at all — due to the stock market.

I see you have no idea what you're talking about.

Add that to the list of genius progressive ideas and close down the farms. See what happens.

Noticed you didn’t answer the question.
Why bother to respond at all?

Well that's because it would take too much effort on my part to explain obvious things like there not being one group of farmers for China and one group of farmers for Piggly Wiggly.

I was kind of hoping you'd see the disbelief in my response and educate yourself. One can always hope.

Then you followed that up with "the stock market doesn't impact the average person" and I reached for the tylenol.

The only thing that's going to actually teach US progressives, those that survive anyway, is actually letting them do what they think will work.

After that, the rest of us will rebuild again.

Farmers absolutely specialize in specific crops, do you think they all grow everything?
Absurd. Most farms concentrate not diversify due to the specialty of the equipment required.

As for the stock market, did your life improve with the resent rise in TSLA stock?
I own several dozen shares and my life is in no way different than it was prior.

    Doubling down I see.

Farmers rotate their crops. They grow soybeans and other legumes to increase nitrogen in the soil to improve conditions for grass crops such as corn and wheat.

They could always stop growing legumes and pour tens of millions of pounds of fertilizer into the soil, but then the left will just be screaming about "muh global warming".

The soybeans are sold to other countries to keep the farm going for the next crop of wheat, corn or whatever.

I'm not even going to go into how ludicrous your stock market claims are.

Everyone knows that the stock market has no influence whatsoever on US spending habits, consumer confidence, unemployment or anything else.

I mean if the stock market crashes the only people harmed are people who own stocks.

Oh man this is really hurting my brain.

So you agree with keeping interest rates artificially low, increased government spending, and cutting taxes?

I am not talking about a crash, I am talking about trend line gains.

On the crop rotation, what do you believe is being done during the typical rotation (2-4 years) when they would be planting goods no longer being bought by China? Since most of the purchasers have moved to other vendors, do we just subsidize them forever? Bailout every year?

Yes because only the extreme result of a crash has an knock on effect to literally EVERY ASPECT OF THE ECONOMY.

It's suddenly become very clear to me why the first thing communists do when they gain power is starve millions of people to death.

There was a point, what do you think is propping up the stock market? Do I need to break out the crayons?

If you're dumb, sure. The current economy is built on a bubble that is all but certain to burst and be much worse than the last recession. Much worse.

Sorry, what has you confused? Do I need to go into detail about how artificially low interest rates prop up the stock market? Really?
