Remember you said that when (not "if") the Islamo-crazies decide to disrupt YOUR backyard barbeque with a nuclear-tipped ICBM one lovely afternoon in their latest 'jihad' against "Infidels". Have the proverbial "nice day" until then, however... whatever.... :icon_clueless:

I guess we should invade every nation that has access to any armament then, just to make sure!
    Right?

Or, we could focus on our own nation — revise the star wars program. Us intervening in country after country is bankrupting us because of blind fearmongering.

Example of a predominately Muslim country which has had nuclear weapons and missiles for decades -- which we in 'the West' are NOT threatened by -- Pakistan. The difference between Iran and Pakistan is that Pakistan is not RULED by a bunch of insane Islamo-'priests' who are obsessed with forcing all of mankind to convert to Islam, or, ruining their lives (or just murdering them).

Pakistan is ruled by a highly-exclusive, wealthy, and urbane military caste, which jealously guards its power, 'pecking-order', and privileges -- very cautiously excluding from any important positions any Islamo-priests who would 'upset their apple-cart' and screw up their happy lives. This military class is typically very well-educated in the better schools of Europe and the United States, and they quickly learn exactly how to maintain their balance-of-power between both Iran, Afghanistan, and India. Very clever, very rich, and quite intelligent!

So, do we in 'the West' feel compelled to put the Paki's on a 'short-leash' and police them into obedience? NO NEED! We shower them liberally with 'foreign aid' and help them maintain their power and wealth. Do you see how the world works a little more clearly now...?

So pay off countries that are “stable” and keep a constant military presence in nations we deem not stable.

Sounds like a plan to bankrupt America.

Haven't we heard the same AIPAC fueled WMD scare before and sacrificed thousands of American lives & $ Trillions in US resources because "Islamo-crazies" might have or might get nukes?

“QUIETLY LOBBYING CONGRESS TO APPROVE THE USE OF FORCE IN IRAQ WAS ONE OF AIPAC’S SUCCESSES OVER THE PAST YEAR.”

AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr; N.Y. Sun, Jan. 2003

Wake up and quit spewing the usual scripted Hasbara war mongering.
Iran has attacked no one in 300 years and only form of "aggression" is thwarting your Zionist dream of regional hegemony & "Greater Israel".

It is what the United States has actually done ever since the late 19th-century. Even earlier, actually... it began in earnest when we forced Japan to "open" itself to us in the 1850's. But using 'foreign aid' to set up 'client governments' with dictators to do our bidding went into high-gear after World War II. It's just the truth... and, frankly, until Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam War, it worked very, very well.

We still shovel out billions of dollars (that we don't have), and every political party and administration does it! My most persistent memory of Hillary Clinton as Sec. of State wasn't 'Benghazi' -- no -- it was her flying around all over the world shoveling out billions of dollars (notably in Pakistan) to governments that laughed at us and secretly hated our guts. It's simply true. And essentially the same process goes on now under Trump, and it will continue to go on until we are finally displaced in the Eastern Hemisphere by a growing alliance of Russia and China. Wait and see....

You may want to review your idea of the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980's if you seriously believe that Iran is blameless.
    Link: https://www.thoughtco.com/the-iran-iraq-war-1980-1988-195531 .

Hint: Saddam Hussein was fighting against the same Islamo-crazies in Tehran that we are on the verge of war with now! Unfortunately for us, Idiot "W" Bush barged in and got rid of Saddam Hussein instead of the Islamo-priesthood in Iran! Absolutely brilliant.... :lonely:

Now here we are... and unless things change dramatically, the 'priests' will be in command of thermonuclear hydrogen bombs and missiles to deliver them with in about another five years. At this point, in all honesty, the only countries that can stop them now are Russia and China.

My point is simply that the Iranians are neither stupid or suicidal enough to start any sort of war that they know will ensure their own destruction.

Please remember that it was the US through the machinations of our war mongering Israeli lobbies who brought "shock and awe" into Iran's back yard. Iranian forces are not occupying the countries surrounding the US & Iran poses absolutely no threat to the US.

The extent of Iran's military support in the region has been confined to resisting Saudi & Israeli expansion as well as helping the Syrian government resist a foreign attempted regime change & fighting the US - Israeli supported ISIS(1).

As long as influential Israeli lobbies control America's Mid East policy, Americans will continue to die and waste $ Trillions making the region safe for Israeli regional hegemony.

I've been to Iran and stay in touch with a few Iranian people. It is especially a large segment of Iran's younger generations who are fed up with Iran's theocrats & I strongly believe that if the US were to normalize relations with Iran, the Iranian people, themselves, would depose their theocrats.
Conversely, the more the US pressures Iran, the more tightly the Iranians will embrace their current theocratic regime against a foreign, external threat.

    (1) "ISIS is a US-Israeli creation"
    http://freedom-articles.toolsforfreedom.com/top-10-proofs-isis-us-israeli-creation/

EXCERPT "…but this article is written for the large majority of people in the world who still have no idea who is really behind the rise of ISIS. No matter which name they go by – ISIS, ISIL, IS or Daesh – the group has been deliberately engineered by the US and Israel to achieve certain geopolitical goals. They are a religious, fundamentalist, Sunni terrorist organization created to terrorize and overthrow certain secular or Shiite Arab nations such as Syria and Iraq, but they are not just “Islamic”. They may be Muslims, and they may be advocating an Islamic State, but they are very much working towards the goals of Zionism."CONTINUED

The impression I have gotten of Iran through the years is that MOST 'every-day' Iranians under the age of about 50 are actually quite normal, rational, decent people who want to have congenial, collaborative, mutually-beneficial relationships with other countries, enjoying the freedoms and technologies of the 21st-century, like everyone else.

The problem -- and it's a BIG one -- is the fanatic, Islamo-Nazi 'priesthood' that rules the whole country with an iron fist, using 'religious' intimidation and threats to hold power. Today, Islam seems a lot like other major religions in the world were -- hundreds of years ago!

Judaism, Christianity, and even Hinduism and Buddhism had their violent, intolerant periods of war -- both internecine conflicts as well as persecutions of 'non-believers' (like, 'Infidels' today). Today, only Islam pursues an active, violent agenda against 'Infidels', using all kinds of abuse, all the way on to torture and murder -- on religious grounds, taught to 'the faithful' in their own holy scriptures!

And it wouldn't really be of any importance if some crackpot bunch of religious-crazies ruled over some backwater, third-world country -- but today Iran is different! Today this 'crackpot bunch of religious-crazies' is actively in hot pursuit of thermonuclear hydrogen bombs! And when they are able to manufacture them and threaten the entire world with them, THEN we've got a huge, horrible problem.

So, here we are in 2020... what do we do now? We in the U. S. are lost in our own stupid, miserable political 'civil-war', from which we may never fully emerge until it's too late. Will Russia and/or China 'take steps' to end the Islamo-Nazi quest for nuclear weapons? This vacuum of 'unknowns' is large, and the only ones filling it, every single day, are the fanatical Islamo-priests in Tehran....

Well when they start minding their own first let me know but as long as they engage in international terrorism, intercepting shipping in international shipping lanes, death to America, Israel, attack our embassies and citizens......................then we can think about it.
