    “Why is she continually treated as a savant and prophetess when she has nothing to offer but embellishment?

    Though only 17, Greta is an accomplished nag, a word we don’t use lightly, but it fits because she is perpetually badgering and complaining. In her speech, which the New York Times posted in transcript form as if it were actually important and must be preserved for future generations, she demanded international leaders “immediately end all fossil fuel subsidies and immediately and completely divest from fossil fuels.


    “We don’t want these things done by 2050, or 2030 or even 2021,” she said, “we want this done now.”

    She even went so far as to tell the Davos crowd “our house is still on fire,” and declared “your inaction is fueling the flames by the hour.””

    People pay way to much attention to the young idiot savant from Sweden. She has an issue and is doing battle on it based on pure emotionalism and pseudoscience. I think world leaders pay her and her issue way too much attention. She’s as bad as AOC on this issue.

    Climate change is a fraud and global warming is a hoax. The true believers try to denigrate all who dare to disagree with them as either practitioners of pseudoscience or corporate shills. They are wrong.

    I think it is because leftist arguments almost always boil down to appeals to emotions and thus her arguments ARE on their intellectual leftist elitist level.

    Because Algore and all the others live a life of excess and are viewed as hypocrites. The child lives with Mom and Dad and cannot display her excess yet (though she travels the world in jets, some private)

    Greta and AOC should start a Saturday morning matinee like "Romper Room" used to be. They could start the show holding hands and sing "We Are the World" then proceed with cartoon like lectures and teachings. Liberals could sit on the floor and eat pre sweetened breakfast cereal like we used to do back in the fifties and sixties.

    So I guess you got your Doctorate from Trump University... most of the world’s top research centers, top scientists, Wall Street investors, the US Military, Ocean researchers, climatologists, and foreign aid workers would agree that her message is closer to the truth than yours.

    Anyone stupid enough to suggest we eliminate fossil fuels is dumber than dumb. You want to go the solar and wind route then be my guest but don't scold me to give up my gas guzzling pickup for a bicycle.

    Or we could transition to natural gas to propel vehicles. CH4 is four units of energy for one waste. Less polluting.. or generate electricity with CH4 to charge electric batteries. Don't have to use coal.
