Here we go again, folks! The last bar was condemned so rented this joint pretty cheap. Enjoy!

Belly up to the bar and take a load off y'all! This is the place to enjoy a break from politics. Free jukebox. Plenty of hot coffee and cold beer with a little hard stuff for those times ya just gotta have a snort! Food when we're in the mood.

Talk about anything EXCEPT POLITICS and we'll all get along just fine. :hippie:

Everybody is welcome here. Ladies drink free, gentlemen watch your wallets. Pull up a barstool and join the fun! :alcoholic:

Dang, the least you could have done was left the peanut hulls at the old place.

But you did bring 'my' bar stool, thanks. What memories that dredges up...

Where I grew up, there was the Caldwell Tavern, same owner for more than 30 years. Being the 4th of 4 kids, several of my siblings, mainly my sister, were patrons at one time or another. With no knowledge of it, when it became my place to socialize, I picked a bar stool on the far left end of the bar. Ragged, wobbly and time worn, it was comfortable. Jimmy, owner of the CT, laughed one day when he figured out who I was. He told me to tip the bar stool over and have a look on the bottom. Among other names, was scratched my sister's and my oldest brother's names. Jimmy put a jack knife on the bar and told me to have at it. It seems we all had chosen that stool as 'ours'.

It's been a couple of decades since I've been back to the CT, though I've driven by it. Jimmy is long gone, but I have to wonder if that bar stool is still there......

From what I gather in many a movie, there are still bars of that
    caliber.Like in the Paul Newman Movie - Nobody's Fool - { 1994 }
Rich character for Newman { not his usual anti-hero } and Jessica
    Tandy's last movie.Even though 25 years ago.
Or the Movie I bought and Reviewed here while back.
    Richard Farnsworth - A Straight Story - { 1999 } His last Movie.
Good old timer bar in that slow, slice of life Movie.Farnsworth plays
an old man who can no longer get a renewed Drivers License so
decides to use his Lawn Tractor and travel 600 miles to visit his
ailing brother.Farnsworth had a real Cowboy persona and was a staple
in Hollywood for over 40 years.Took immense pride in the fact he never
Once in all his movie roles { bit player or regular cast } cussed.
Not as much as one cuss word.Folks may remember him in the Stephen
King classic - Misery - { 1990 } as Buster the local constable in charge of
keeping peace and investigating mishaps and missing persons.

Do you still have the keys to the old place?

Don't laugh. That is a great place to tape in a plastic bag something of
great value. And I don't mean in the toilet Tank.
When installing a new toilet the underneath of the toilet or the
bowl has a significant cavity. You could store { Tape up } really
most anything than isn't much bigger than a hand. And to get it would
mean removing the toilet. With just 2 bolts { screws } that aren't torqued
down and the sealant from the bottom of the bowl and the floor.
I bet most detectives know that.

    I didnt know that.
That's a great question for the guy in the plumbing department at Home Depot.
"Is there enough clearance that I can hide some jewlery before I bolt that down?"

Just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and ask to see the
underside of the toilet bowl. The problem being the Bowl and
Tank are part of a display and will be connected.Maybe they might provide
a picture of the bottom of the bowl.In the Instructions.
Maybe Not.It might help to dab yer best perfume on so as not to get
strange looks over a strange request. Not that I'm some expert
on strange looks { Like asking a Babe out for a date }.
More like them askin' me out and gettin' my strange look.

Where oddly a sound can be heard as to who is playing
    that silver spoon.As Former Governor Anne Richards { Last Democrat }
favorite tune rears it's head. While Mary Kay costume jewelry is heard
clinking as the audience cannot hold back their clapping.

You dont have to speak French to know eau de toilette water is a liquid lure for women to wear who want to attract plumbers.

    I'm pissed.

I had a nice, comfortable space between the coal chute and the water heater. Now, all I have is a spot in the men's room.

Also, I liked the old place. It had character. This new place in the strip mall has no personality whatsoever.

    There is a bright side.
The guy at the tattoo place is giving us 50% off any piercings and he said he is discrete.
The dog groomer lady said no one on the sidewalk got bit since last Friday.

Never heard it called a " Tattoo Place ". Mores like a Tattoo Parlor.
You know like one them Porn Parlor.
I am thinking of starting a thread titled - Skinflints -.
I just got thru at a site naming wealthy { Very wealthy } celebrities
who made a point of disinheriting their offspring.I've always found this
subject fascinating.Because it really cuts to chase as to the human condition.
That sometimes the most obstinate and stingy among us are the most
well to do.It's a mindset. One would be amazed at just who some of these
wealthy celebrities are.I am interested in their psyche or Philosophy of
Life.Obviously some key aspect of the internal workings of their
psyche is rooted wrong.Like bad wiring under a car's dash.

Seeing that made me puke. I can only hope that @Foolardi survives this traumatic experience. Maybe this will help him with his recovery.

The one and only Original MD 20/20 was deep purple.
It was very syrupy and did give a buzz.
