    The entire Nobel organization is a damn joke. It's turned into a lefty participation trophy center.

    It's quite ironic that Alfred Nobel was an arms manufacturer and the inventor of dynamite and other explosives. The man once referred to as the "Merchant of Death" is now touted by the left. Or are the elitists too stupid to know this?

    I don't really care of what Mr Trump could think about G.Thunberg, but I think it's quite sad to choose her. There is hundred of people around the world that worked in an extremly hard for peace, and over decades. Now that the unfairness to not reward Dr Mukwege has been corrected, I think that the whole assocation "El Sistema" deserve it, and much more than Mrs Thunberg.

    It's not ironic, Nobel created that price over the regrets he felt to have created such tool of death.

    It depend of the years, when they nominated Obama it was a big joke, Mr Mukwege was a very good choice.

    Nobel created the Foundation and then the Foundation made a ton of money investing in fossil fuels in the Middle East. And now they are nominating a climate nutter twit who bashes fossil fuels to receive a prize? Yeah that is not only ironic but also a big joke.

    First off, you guys just showed how petty you are because instead of congratulating her, it's "hope this pissed off trump". That's rather childish (I suppose you are young

    2nd, what did she actually do besides say global warming is bad? Did she offer alternatives? Is there anything tangible or did she just have a good impact with wrher speeches and that's enough for the prize?
    I'm just wondering as I don't know what tje reqs are

    The requirements are what the committee says they are but it generally includes inspiring a fairly large number of people to strive for peaceful solutions to world problems. Ask any girl under 20 in this country and many others who is an inspiration to them and Greta’s name will be at or near the top of the list.

    Better environmental conditions lead to more peaceful coexistence. It’s why the US Military list climate change one of the greatest threats to world peace.
