Five hundred dollars per Canadian per month, can this work?

NOBODY LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY THRESHOLD OF TODAY!

No, I am not running for PotUS. The above is just an idea to unlock the social-incarceration that exists presently below the Poverty Threshold.

I don't think that "giving away" money is a particularly brilliant way to help anybody, and particularly the poor.

Frankly, it would be a LOT BETTER to simply exonerate all the poor living below the Poverty Threshold from any income taxation. For the US, that's about 12.3% (see here) or around 40 million Americans. (That's about the size of the most populated state in America - California.)

Taxation could kick-in gradually as one passed that threshold ($24.25K/year) upwards towards to the median-salary in the US. From here the median salary in the US graphically:


So, adjusted for inflation it is about $62K for a family (household). (Why "median"? Because "average" is a bit difficult to quantify statistically.)

Now if Donald Dork can lower considerably upper-income taxation for his Rich Buddies, why cannot Uncle Sam exonerate from taxation those at the bottom who need the boost most? (Remember, they would continue nonetheless to pay state sales-taxes thus supporting state governments where they live.)

Beyond $62K there would have to be a means for the family to resume income taxation, and that could be by taxation upon a growing percentage of income level. For instance, up to the Average Household Salary of 89K (from here) per year whereupon they would reach the present taxation for that level. (Please note that Median and Average levels are very different notions. They are not the same!)

In this manner we could gradually dredge the swamp of impoverishment that exists below the Poverty Threshold and help people either move up the income-ladder or live decently at whatever level they are able to achieve.

Nobody should be permitted to live below the Poverty Threshold (unless they want to do so) in a modern democracy. It is unfair and it generates psychological troubles that inevitably end in illegal activity and punishment by incarceration ...

I would much rather be "putting up" with your overall political instance in Canada than the pile of you-know-what that is happening in the US.

Yes..... I have genuine friends all across the political spectrum here in Canada.

In 2006 I attended a meeting of the N.D. P but I tested the waters and found out quickly that they had too much anger for me.

I joined Canada's Christian Heritage Party in 2008 but within a year I knew that they also had too much anger for me.

I joined Canada's Liberal Party on 2009 and left it in 2015 when I saw that P. M. Justin Trudeau had been given a majority government because I know from experience that those don't turn out so well.

In 2016 I joined Canada's Conservative Party to attempt to lure Mr. Peter MacKay back into politics.

In 2018 I joined Mr. Maxime Bernier's bid to take over Canada's Conservative Party and I am truly pleased with the position that this puts me in at this time.

It is partly my strange sense of humour..... but I seriously am attempting to mount a campaign for the NUMBER TWO position in the PPC after Mr. Maxime Bernier because in spite of his many flaws....... (and we are all very flawed)..... I consider him to be one of the most interesting..... one of the nicest..... and one of the most talented political leaders in Canada at this time. I feel that Mr. Maxime Bernier is in a position to play a critical role in keeping the province of Alberta within Canada..... (G-d willing)?!

Hint.... one of Mr. Maxime Bernier's flaws is that he hates....... despises.......... abhors........... detests............... has great animosity toward........... and will not easily be able to apply the good advice to forgive......... Mr. Andrew Scheer........... even if Jesus Himself and / or the Being of Light of NDE fame were to appear to appear to him and suggest kindly that he forgive Mr. Scheer!!!!!!

Andrew Scheer, I am willing to take on either M. P. Sean Fraser or M.P. Bill Casey.

 

Now I think that I have found a provincial level party that might at least take this general idea seriously!
