endorphins are stimulating.. peppers release them to receptors in your brain The effect is obvious to me.. This is a very hot topic
Yeah I like a bit of spice in my life... variety is best, some foods should only be consumed hot.. very hot, others not so much
it's used to 'cover up' rotten meats... that's why they package it that way at the supermarkets... never buy pre-seasoned meats at the butcher dept. that said, adding flavor is one thing, having you're eyes watering so badly while not being able to speak, is just plain old moronic childhood dare bs...
I hated spicy food once upon a time, but then I moved to South Texas. Now I experience legitimate disappointment if I open my fridge and realize I'm out of a particular sauce or salsa, or if I return from the grocery store and realize I forgot the peppers. Strange how it grows on you and becomes borderline addictive. At the moment I have these sauces - You gotta match the sauce to the food!
also gotta use the proper amount of sauce, drenched is crap imo. anywho, either of those 3 sauces would be great with scrambled eggs
I love spicy foods. I have a huge jar of jalapenos to add to most dishes. I like hot sauce too. Any kind. The only one I can't handle is "Red Devil". That stuff really is evil. LOL
Injera is just the sponge bread made from tef flour. The spicy stuff was in the food you were picking up with the bread.
I'm not sure what the brand is but they have these stupid hot potato chips that come wrapped in foil with warning labels all over them... One chip only and it's like $8. Most people consider being able to finish even one chip as a very significant achievement. One of my rather large friends managed to finish two of them.
I can eat a Madras and find that my tongue stings too much half through a Vindaloo. I find the vindaloo sauce in a buttered bread roll the next morning to be a great breakfast
Whenever I am eat rice I usually like a bit of Punjabi spicy mango pickle or Korean Kimchi to mix into it. Each adds a nice flavor of spice as well as different textures to keep things a bit more interesting.
