I believe you have it backwards. Force is the problem, not the solution. The government should never have the power to force laws on who they can marry, what they can do with their own bodies, deny second amendment rights to law abiding citizens, obligate them to buy a product, etc. We can believe whatever we want, but forcing it on others is where the line has to be drawn.

The government should have no more power than you would give your worst enemy.

    Ideally, yes.

But we don't live in an ideal world, we live in a real one.

Take away the government's control, and someone else will step in. If nothing else, to ensure order.

Someone has to be in control. Anarchy is something I would like to avoid.

Reducing government power to a minimum is not anarchy. We live in the world we make. Americans looking at one another as enemies is a source of power.

So you're good with the current situation - the freedom loving Right being in power?

Another contradiction! In the same post you said you're 'tired of it', and that's just the democratic version. There's no way in hell you'd be able to tolerate a version in which the Right has the power you want them to have.

You only approve of the idea because for some reason, you've only ever considered a state in which your team has that control. The next team might dismantle everything you hold dear and sacred .. and YOU will have given them the power to do so.
