Are you saying that Bernie's plan won't allow for suplememntal insurance for items not covered? Otherwise, I don't see how your situation would get worse.
And why are we the ONLY industrialized country that cannot offer it's citizens cradle to grave healthcare???Why are our hospitals closing in record numbers in recent years. Why are our maternal mortality rates worse than third world countries. Why is our third leading cause of death medical mistake???
I recently changed my supplement plan and had to go through the underwriting. There was a mile long list of medical procedures that if I had any of them in the past 2 years (5 years for some) I would have been refused coverage.
Have you actually spoken with Medicare directly? It seems this should be easily appealed once your doctor's office submits the appropriate documentation. Vaccines are covered, and I do know that Shingles is a covered vaccine. As for the MRI, also discuss this with your doctor because Medicare may offer to pay for another type of diagnostic imaging procedure instead. Doctors and nurses are not going to walk away from their professions if Medicare for all becomes the law of the land. In fact, it could actually create more doctors and nurses since they address the shortage of general healthcare practitioners by increasing incentives for students and lowering the costs of the education needed. Med student debt is at an all time high.
So much for no rationing. Did you ever wonder if the Democrats get control of our health care where conservatives are going to get treatment?
Right..... But your perfectly fine with government controlled healthcare denying care based on an opinion....
Shingles vaccines are covered under your Part D prescription plan, unless it is administered in your doctor's office.
ALL doctor's diagnosis are an opinion based upon the facts. Medicare bases their opinions on medical facts. That's how it works.
What makes you assume that what they're doing in England has any bearing on what Bernie or Elizabeth are presenting? You're trying to spin this as a negative, but the reality is that some patients are extremely verbally and physically abusive to healthcare providers and first responders.
As I understand it, under Bernie's plan there will be no private insurance. Tell me if you know otherwise.
Just be happy you are not a doc in communist china. Doctors are regularly murdered in china by patients or family of patients
But this is a minor point driven by the increase in abuse they have been noticing. It has nothing to do with the healthcare model.
Don't want to get too far into the weeds, but maybe it'll help. The aspleenic shots come at three different days. I appealed the first two days of shots before I received the 3rd. I was turned down at the 1st and 2nd level of appeal, but the 3rd level, called an Administrative Law Judge, ruled in my favor and I was reimbursed. I appealed the 3rd set of shots and was rejected by the 1st and 2nd level of appeal, and in this case by another Administrative Law Judge. It turns out the is a 4th level of appeal (all of this short of taking them to court) at HHS HQ and my appeal has been sent to them. They said they are looking at it and should get back to me around the middle of 2020 -- this for shots received Feb 2018. IIRC there are only 2, maybe 3 vaccines that Medicare pays for, though one, the flu shot, is nice. I got the new shingles vaccines early 2019 and had to pay the full price. My aspleenic vaccines were rejected by Medicare appeals simply because "they don't pay for vaccines." The practice was to X-ray smokers' lungs every 5 years or so but the profession found that those X-rays were very ineffective. I don't know it Medicare pays for X-rays of smokers' lungs or not, but it is not a recommended practice so I would bet not. I am referring to experienced competent doctors leaving the profession under Berniecare. But you are probably right that there are a bunch of rag-a-muffins that will fill the void.
Then check with your Prescription Drug plan. https://q1medicare.com/q1group/Medi...-shingles-vaccine-&faq_id=359&category_id=150
We could. I think they have that in the UK. But unlike insurance companies hospitals actually do something and we can control their costs via reimbursements.
The bane of our healthcare costs in regards to hospitals is the Chargemaster. The only way to fix our system is to tackle the prices on the Chargemaster and make it completely transparent, or eliminate it altogether.
Perfect. I think whiners should get the worst doctors. A 3 tier system. Whiners are annoying. They probably decrease the life span of Americans.
