My how times change fast. I have worked long and hard to get the Cadillac health care plan I have right now. If Crazy Bernie thinks he will take my health plan and trade it in for a Canada like plan, he's done lost his mind. No one, read that as labor unions, wants to trade their good health care for extremely long waiting times just to make the sloven happy. If you want the Cadillac Health plan I have.....go get a good job.

I'm sure "medicare for all" would have been an easier sell during the Obama years when the economy sucked, people were losing their jobs, prospects were dim, and optimism was virtually non-existent. Now though, under Trump the economy is booming, people are back to work (which often includes health insurance, or at least the means/money to buy health insurance), wages are rising, and people are feeling optimistic about the future again. I can see how they might not like hearing that they're going to get screwed just to give free healthcare to the sliver of people who fall inbetween the employed/insured and the current Medicaid crowd.

Because really if you look at it, that's what this is targeting, that sliver of people. The poor have Medicaid and most of the rest of us employed folks already have health insurance through work or privately. The poor don't care if their Medicaid becomes Medicare, and those of us happy with our current insurance don't want to lose it "just to make the sloven happy", as you say.

Democrats/neo-commies want to force all Americans into the same system then force us to compete with needy homeless foreign nationals that sneak into America for healthcare we pay for.

All part of attacking Americans and lowering our standards of living

Democrats are the party of the poor. They are invested in keeping people poor and importing more poor people. The better America does, the less voters they have.

I worked long and hard, and still do, and paid into Medicare and was forced onto and if Bernie thinks seniors are going to let him destroy that by making it one big government universal healthcare program he's got a screw loose. I would have loved to have taken all that money and set aside for a comprehensive private plan to retire on but the government subverted that.

Democrats want you to get the same care and wait in the same line as a foreign national criminal who snuck into America.

Just to make the sloven happy?
Your word choice is like a picture in that using sloven paints a picture that that is better than a thousand words .

It bespeaks of the ugly side of the right wingers . Whose world consists of the good people who have good jobs with their Cadillac Healthcare and those that dont are just slovenly. This is a lie perpetrated by some on the right and generally is fueled by a kind of hatred of others , those they hang names onto like. ..slovenly .

With that said one reason I like tulsi is because she isnt pushing for medicare ffor all but as an option for those many people who will never ever have your caddy plan because those kinds of jobs will be more and more limited to the small upper middle class . And wont be found in the lower middle and middle middle class at all as in the pre globalism past .

Sanders thinking is that if you dont get rid of private sector health insurance is that only 10 percent of our people will have good Healthcare , people like you while Medicare for the rest of America will be crappy and a joke. Only if the upper middle and upper cclass are on Medicare will everyone get decent Healthcare because the people at the top will insure they get a good medicare system because they will be using it And he has a point for he understands the system and how the people with money constructs the system .

Are you kidding??? The people at the top won't be using it they will be using private doctors and private insurance else self insure. I was at the new Maza-Toyota plant in Huntsville last week. They will be hiring 4000 workers them self and an expected 20,000 - 24,000 by the surrounding suppliers. Good paying jobs with cadillac insurance. We have a glut of good paying jobs out there. Sanders would like to send that down the toilet.

Sadly, it should be called "Cancer and heart disease for all" Our record level of illness is mostly the result of government interference.

So, the bottom-feeders want "Medicare-for-all"? Somehow I doubt it -- especially if they got it under the same terms, conditions, and requirements of actual MEDICARE!

Well -- to even qualify for the real Medicare, you have to work 40 Quarters (10 years) -- and that's only for 'basic' Medicare -- for which you must pay premiums every single stinking month! :omfg: Oh, and that doesn't even cover a LOT of your medical expense, so you need 'supplemental add-on's' -- and, YEAH, you have to pay extra, every month, for all of those, too! :omfg:

Oh, and you'll probably need yet ANOTHER supplemental add-on for your prescription medicine, in addition to all this other sh!t -- and, again, you get to pay separately and extra for that, too! :omfg:

So how about it, all you round-eyed hyperliberals! You still want MEDICARE?! Somehow I really doubt it like hell -- unless you actually think you're going to get a welfare-shoveling, radical Democrat slimebag to just give the whole damned pile of it to you for FREE!

Yes, but they won't be required to pay for it. That's your responsibility.

And don't leave out the fact that's there's 2 to 3 people working without that coverage that contribute 2.5% of every one of their pay checks to defer the costs of "free" "medicare-for-all" that works out to an additional $6k-ish / year.

I find it funny when I read posts like this that it is so blatantly obvious that you haven't bothered to read Sanders actual proposals. If you had, you'd know that every question you put forth has been answered.

Private insurance is mostly gone. It says private plans can only supplement NOT duplicate. No one at my workplace with a family will vote for him and lose Cigna. So we’re talking over 3000 plus their spouses. Maybe some of the naive single millennials who don’t care about insurance will vote for a communist. But they’re the minority. Bernie would be seen a rich private corporation ripe for punishment. Don’t think anyone who cares about their job would vote for him. Not to mention we have doctors on staff who work for us. Bernies plan would make that illegal so our medical clinics would have to be shut down. Good ****ing luck old man.

Keep shooting yourself in the foot, then.

Single payer is coming whether you like it or not.

Insurance companies had a choice. Profit or people.

They chose profit OVER people, and you sit here singing their good praises.

    Unbelievable.

As a rated vet, I don't even have a horse in this race. But, as a nurse I do. I see patients every day who have to choose between buying food, or buying medicine.

In the richest country in the history of mankind.

That, to me, is unacceptable. And it should be to you too. Sadly, it isn't.

26 years and 5 days ago I was ejected from the back of an 30,000 lb Armored Truck at 55 mph on the highway. When I hit the pavement the rear wheels ran over my right foot and leg. When I went into surgery the Doctor prepared me for the possibility of amputation. They saved it and after a year of rehab I went back to my job because what they wanted to re-train me to do would pay half of what I was making. The pain was excruciation even after I went back to work. I left that job 8 years later. I have accident related peripheral neuropathy in my feet. I can only describe it as sticking your foot into a bathtub with water too hot, it's the same feeling. Currently my job has me walking up to 5 miles a day, I'll be 63 soon and my employer provides me with an absolute Cadillac Health Plan. For my hip replacement I paid the $100 hospital admission fee, follow up visits were free. I had my cataracts done, including corrective lenses they got me from 20/2000 to 20/80, my cost $0. If I can walk on burning feet up to 5 miles a day, I have no sympathy for those who choose a non working life style. Those that absolutely can't work will qualify for SSI Disability and Medicare. To Hades with any Democrat that thinks they will take that away from me. I earned it!

An OPINION Article from an Extreme RW Blog is hammering the idea of M4A?

Wow. This is a major surprise.:bored:

Anyway, M4A is a Non-Starter and every Dem. Politician is aware of that.

The best that any Dem. could hope for is a Public Option.

That said, the Extreme RW author (who wrote that Editorial) is certainly entitled to their OPINION.

Any one who can't work will get SSI Disability and Medicare. Say what you want but the sloven can get Medicaid or go into the HRSA system. I get fantastic health care because I walk up to 5 miles a day on burning feet to get it. Thinking only 10% of people get great health care is simply a cheap excuse to make those that don't want TO WORK FOR IT FEEEEL BETTER. For my hip replacement I paid a $100 hospital admission fee with free follow up visits. I paid $0 to get my cataracts fixed. They even added corrective lenses to help correct my extreme near sightedness. Jobs with great health care are out there, they just have to put down the X-Box controller and go get a job.

I want government out of my medical decisions. It should be between me and my doctor.

The transaction should involve me, my doctor, and my insurance company. Overcompensated, underworked government bureaucrats are not welcome.
