Meh... don't feel too overly sanctimonious and pious about it yet... that collusive, 'Star Chamber'-esque series of occult meetings and their proceedings which Schiff held in preparing for the big Democrat Inquisition (Oops -- I meant, "Impeachment") were about as "open" as the catacombs of Rome....

It was proven without Bolton... many on the right said so...

The nothingburger hopefully, will be the book sales for Bolton... He shouldn't be allowed to profit off of a story we should already have been told under oath..

If the Dems allegations were proven there would have been a guilty verdict. It wasn't.

Nothing impeachable was proven and nothing to which Bolton would have testified would have done so........another nothingburger.

Wouldn’t have made any difference in the Senate. But it would have helped the public make an informed decision in November. Which is precisely why the Rs want to hide the evidence of everyone close to Trump. Republicans, you are covering up for Trump and you know it.

Every president has done worse things than Trump, especially FDR and LBJ.

The right is so tired of selective prosecution from the left. Those Deep State clowns who lied under oath multiple times are still walking around as we speak.

So why didn't the House call Bolton as a witness?

You can take what he said two ways: 1) he has nothing negative to say about the President or 2) he has evidence that the President broke the law, but it wouldn't matter to most of the Senate Republicans.

The GAO found Obama broke the law four times, did you want to impeach him then?

And so what? NO impeachable offenses were presented and Bolton's testimony would not have changed that.

Vetting witnesses in the "star chamber" itself was improper, and the classic drip-drip leaking that wouldn't have happened in an actual trial. It was a farce, always intended to be a farce and it didn't even stigmatize the President because the illegitimacy of the process was on full display.

Or he has bad things to say about the President but nothing impeachable and what law the President broke? There were no laws broken. There is a regulatory statue about reporting monies being delayed from disbursement those are not "crimes". And the money was dispersed within the time frame.

Impeachable offenses are treason, bribery or high crimes and misdemeanors. The latter are whatever political crimes the House decides them to be...they are are not necessarily crimes covered in the criminal code, but crimes against the political system itself.

If it added nothing to the impeachment it adds nothing to the election and we don't subpoena people before the Congress to effect the election, well maybe Schiff and company do. There's nothing to cover up and you know it.

You left out the "or other" from the phrase and yes high crimes are high crimes like when Clinton committed perjury, subornation of perjury, obstruction of justice and witness tampering. The articles the House submitted contained no impeachable offenses.

Let me put it this way, why didn't they subpoena Bolton to appear?

My mistake...but it doesn't matter. High crimes and misdemeanors were attacks on the body politic, as represented in the Legislative branch, equal to treason and bribery, but left to the legislature to define. You should read a book on impeachment, it's history, examples, etc. If you like, I can list a few for you.
The House resolution had two primary charges: Abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Basically, the abuse of power was over his actions in conjunction with the Ukraine withholding of aid for personal gain and the obstruction of Congress was over his attempts to cover it up by refusing to cooperate with Congress in their oversight responsibilities.

They are high crimes and misdemeanors not political squabbles and worry about your own education on impeachment it doesn't seem up to mine. The abuse of Congress was the most egregious since he was carrying out his constitutionally authorized functions and asserting constitutionally authorized privilege. And the Congress does not oversee the President, he is an elected official. They oversee the under secretaries and cabinets. The President does not report to the Congress. They don't like his policies, tough. That is not impeachable.
