I like Warren and Bernie deserves accolades but I can't argue with the rest. We'll have to wait and see who wins .
No, Warren put Buttigieg behind her and destroyed Bloomberg, but Sanders and Biden were ahead on actual achievements and records.
Typical right wing wonk-ism....don't discuss the subject at hand....change the subject to some made up BS.
Well, Joe did come back strong regarding his record on various issues...something Warren couldn't do. And yeah, Bernie does seem mostly pissed when his opponents keep BS'ing.
See trashed Bloomberg, but her record didn't match Joe's, much less Bernie's ability to explain his plans.
Well, do a writ in vote as I've done in the past. Bernie represents significant change....maybe not an immediate solution, but a change in direction that scares the hell out of the DNC.
No, she couldn't as she just didn't have the hands on experience as say Biden or Sanders.....that's why she's out of the running.
Another right wing crank who can't debate the issues at hand (or afford a night in a Trump hotel without breaking the budget).
Part of the problem for Democrats, is that to be "moderate" is to mean either one of two things: 1) To return to the era of 2008-2016(Biden, and to a good degree any advocacy of "medicare for all" is to revive the ACA.) 2)To try and sound not as extreme as far-left Sanders, AOC crowd, etc. None of this is "moderate" though. Democrats are literally banking on the idea that there really are more liberal/left-leaning Americans than Conservatives, combined with anti-Trump sentiment and hopefully those left-leaning Americans are more concentrated in the States they lost in 2016. That's it, that's the game plan. Moderate used to mean something like Mr. Webb back when he was running in 2016. A purple dog Democrat would be a tremendous threat to Donald Trump. But the "squad" is literally a black hole, sucking up democratic strength. I do think Trump's going to carry this, and he's going to carry it because of his unorthodox political nature. He can promise a far-left wing package, and not lose his base. Can Democrats even afford to pretend a coalition?
Trump carries the reactionary bigot crowd....40% of the country that can, don't vote … Sanders galvanizes the majority youth vote … the GOP gerrymandered the crap out of America … represents a solid, "Dems of the old school" crowd. it's going to be a LONG election, folks.
"Reactionary bigot crowd". They supposedly don't vote, but HRC lost in 2016. My humble suggestion to Democrats is if they want to actually win this election, to take Trump and his supporters seriously. As things stand, Trump can use effective propaganda to sway voters to his side. Can Democrats even broach the subject right now?
Hands On Experience is over rated. An excuse to limit the Presidency to the Beltway community. What of governors? Did Ike have "hands on experience"? etc.
Joe Biden is a great example of someone whose been doing the same job for 30 years and still sucks at it.
But, he is well paid with "benefits". Union derived benefits Chemical Industry of Delaware, benefits. Foreign benefits. Why doesn't he simply have a foundation as the Clintons?
I've seen Democrats saying trumps rallies are staged. They believe the crowds are fake. They are in deep. The DNC is on fire, and 1/2 of them believe Democrats are stronger then ever. Good times.
Joe sends his family to collect bribes from foreign companies while he crushed their American competitors at home.
I only saw clips of the debate, and what I did see was a poor attempt at those folks trying to imitate the Village People.
Who said the reactionary bigot crowd don't vote? That's was the impetus for the new conservatives, the tea party, the "alt-right"...hell, one could argue that Trump's election was a direct reaction to Obama's 8 years! Regardless of party affiliation, 40% (more or less) of the eligible voters in America just don't vote....period. Hillary won the popular vote, but lost the electoral (FYI, I didn't vote for her). The problem the Dems have right now (IMHO) is that they are at a cross roads between the old guard and the new progressive movement. HRC pulled some shady stuff to insure the California primary....and now you have a constant murmuring in the MSM that America will not want to be lead by an avowed socialist (as socialism equates old Soviet Union/Red China communism to most American mindsets). Bernie is broaching/has broached the subject. Warren echoes it. Will it be enough? Let's hope so.
Sure, let's apply your first sentence to your insurance agent.....or the pilot of the commercial plane you're on....or the surgeon who's about to cut you or a loved one open....etc., etc., etc., Ike was the top military leader in WWII, which put him in constant contact with military and civilian politics...especially in rebuilding Europe. A lot of lives road on his diplomacy, political and military decisions. Hopefully, you see the absurdity of what you say here.
