This is happening everywhere in the country I believe, guns and ammo are being bought up as never before. This is in response to the Coronavirus crisis and most people who are buying guns are buying their first gun.

Word. Best be buying 12 gauge shotguns then I reckon. Seriously? Wtf are people thinking? Time to start capping our neighbors over toilet paper?

I heard a rumor that leftists are finally figuring out, upon actually trying, that contrary to their narrative, no, you in fact cannot buy a gun online and have it shipped directly to your house.

If folks show up trying take my stuff by force, even TP, then yes, they can expect to get capped.

Though I'd prolly try first to offer them some to just leave.

Not the definition I learned from my WV bud,

Marty, "Dude, she's a total peanut girl."

    Me, "A what?"

Marty, "Peanut girl. You don't know what a peanut girl is?"

    "No, what's a peanut girl?"

Marty in a lowered conspiratorial voice because we're at work in cubicle land then says, "Dude, a peanut girl is a girl so hot that you'll eat the peanuts out of her $hit."

Nasty I know, but I find it awesomely funny....

It is not at all surprising that firearms and ammunition would be purchased in the same panicked manner as everything else under present circumstances. Individuals will either become victimizers, or they will become victims. As such they are preparing themselves for whatever direction they need to go.

That's a rather alarming outlook. Are you suggesting theres no room in between for folks who will kill to defend what the have, but also would die before forcefully taking from others? If so, why?

And this kind of thinking is why we have people who panic over basically a flu and start to hoard. These people are what is commonly known as, self-centered a...oh never mind.

More accurately it is an outlook regarding those who are responsible for the current panic buying. Those who are not prepared for the ugliness of the real world, and who are only now having to face unpleasant facts of reality that countless others have learned to accept as being the truth of the situation.

I've already had my guns and I've already had my ammunition, and I will gladly kill to protect what's mine.

There seems to be a change I'm noticing. People are a lot less civil than they were a month ago. They're a lot more confrontational and, for whatever reason, seem to be a lot more brazen.

I will, therefore, be a lot more armed...

Perhaps the people of the nation of Australia would be purchasing firearms at an increased rate if they were more readily available.

Not where I live, but places where I have to travel; downtown areas, some of the more, shall we say, "economically depressed areas with big rims on the Chevys" places.

If it hasn't happened yet, count yourself among the fortunate...

I can understand people stocking up on food, water and toilet paper. But guns and ammo? That I don't understand.

BigSteve, what is the race of the people in these "economically depressed areas"?
