    Maybe Trump shouldn't peddle unsubstantiated hope. Particularly if he doesn't want reporters to say that about him.

    Trump can't help it, he is patient zero (why the disease was named after him)

    but good examples of how dems rise above it, even though they have political and moral differences with this president

    Two comments:

    1. The scum reporter ask a rhetorical question which was in effect a declarative statement that Trump was giving Americans a false sense of hope. The purpose of a press conferences is not for reporters to pontificate. Is it too much to expect liberal reporters to exhibit a little bit of decorum? Suppose you were giving a press conference and I loaded a question by first asking "do you think there is a possibility that you are an a**hol*?" See how this works?

    2. Your comments are both extreme hyperbole and a strawman. Not liking uncouth behavior by a scum reported is not the same thing as suggesting we should have a North Korea style press as you suggest.

    Nah that's total nonsense.. I do agree there were plenty of reassuring things he could have said, but I know damn well nothing he could say would have pleased the hateful left..

    That's impossible, this site proves that 100's of times a day, seven day a week and three hundred and sixty five days a year!

    I know, it was a nasty question.

    The journalist set a trap for him, and our dear President managed to avoid it by publicly insulting him and complaining that he was still a victim of the media.

    It's by repeating every day that he's an innocent victim of nasty journalists that Trump will appear even more like a strong President, in total control of his person and concentrating on the essential: defeating the pandemic.

    Why ?

    Our dear President has repeatedly said that the media are the enemy of the people.

    Wouldn't this crisis be the ideal time to muzzle them with a special law?

    It seems to me that Trump has too often been the victim of journalists and that his image as a strong man, always measured in his words and in perfect control of his person has suffered enough.

    He was really pissed because the prick wasn't called upon for a question and talked over a real reporter who Trump actually gave a question.

    I'm sick of hearing this 'act presidential' bullshit. He responded to someone who acted like they weren't at a presidential press conference. This ain't the time or place to ask questions like you're one of those washed-up whores on The View.
