Well, you're the one who seems to be too delicate to drink tap water...

Dude, you're whining and bitching about the taste of tap water.

You and "tough" don't even enjoy a passing relationship...

I honestly don't know why your diaper's so twisted.

We have a difference of opinion on whether or not the stockpiling of water because of a virus makes sense. You encountered someone with a differing opinion and you got all whiny.

Is that how you approach all differences of opinion? How sad for you...

Oh, but you are, as we see here:

You’re very confused. YOU are the one who’s made one incorrect assumption after another. If anyone has their panties in a bunch it’s you. And I have to say...it’s been fun to watch you flailing away. Thank you for the entertainment. Hahahahahaha

Just because lots of water is a good thing to have in a crisis in general. You need water to live.

Paper towels can be used as toilet paper when toilet paper runs out.

    I'm quite aware of that.

But if you don't have bottled water, guess what? Assuming you enjoy the benefit of indoor plumbing, you still have water!

Bad idea. Paper towels don't break down like toilet paper does.If you want a true nightmare scenario on your hands, though, it'll certainly do that for you...

It should be stocked at home regardless, and a case or two in each vehicle. You can go weeks without eating a bite, but go without water for a few days and vital organs start shutting down. City water can get contaminated without a disaster, look at that idiot that lived by a freeway and tapped into the irrigation system thinking he was going to water his lawn on the taxpayers dime. The freeway was irrigated with reclaimed water and this do it yourself plumber caused a cross connection and backfed reclaimed water into the potable system. Without warning square miles of neighborhoods of people woke up and couldn’t bathe, do dishes, make coffee, etc and were on bottled water for (iirc) weeks. Even people on a well, those pumps do burn out from time to time.
I lived in the mountains of Southern California and in the summer time people from the valley would come up to escape the heat. Sometimes their car wasn’t up to the task and stranded them on the side of the road. Broke down in the heat with kids and no water. I would generally stop and offer water and generally they took it.
Your list of things you stock in case of emergency, water better be #1 because without it, nothing else matters.

I'm not going to argue any of your points. Hell, I used to live in San Diego and would go up to Lake Arrowhead every a couple times a year. Odds are you helped me out a time or two!

Having a stock of water is fine. Living in hurricane country, we always have water on hand (I always have two one gallon jugs filled in the trunk of my car). But my comment was more about those who head out to the grocery store and spend, literally, hundreds of dollars on bottled water. First, no one really needs that much water, but that's not up to anyone other than the person buying it. Second, it screws over the next guy who needs water, as well. What I refer to as "hoard buying" is why many grocery stores have implemented limits on what people can buy. Some grocery stores around here even have security to keep people from re-entering the store after they've unloaded grocery carts into their cars.

This would be a whole lot easier if people just exercised a modicum of common sense...

As it is now people are not going to need to use their guns very much at all, maybe no more than normal times, possibly even less use.

But suppose this Wuhan virus mutated or another more virulent virus flew in on top of this one, and police departments were hit so hard they had little presence. Then your gun is everything, more lovely than your wife, more important than your kids, because the family will not be able to survive without a gun.

You want to put paper towels in the garbage, like dirty diapers, not down the pipe, unless you really want to add to your woes.

Yup, tossing a roll of toilet paper at a home invader is the Aussie way of fighting.

That all depends on one source of water, we have a well, generator and lots of fuel, so we should be good to go, but as a backup i brought home a couple of pallets of gallon jug's of distilled water provided by FEMA.

As long as the water is flowing, TP is not needed.

Correct, dumping paper towels into a septic tank is going to screw up the drain-field and that gets expensive to repair.

We’d buy guns for any reason.....It seems strange we’d be buying them to protect us from the govt while waiting for their next check to buy a box of 9 mm. It must be to shoot virus or protect our three month supply of toilet paper.

Liberals are finally realizing what conservatives have known for decades, which is, when it hits the fan, law enforcement will be overwhelmed with dispatches and by the time they arrive to a 911 call it will be too late to help out, as such the reality is everyone is on their own, they must be their own first responder and if they are not armed, they very well become a another violent crime statistic to be entered in the FBI's UCR database.

Later when law enforcement finally arrives, all they can do is, investigative the incident, write up a report and have the corner bag and tag the bodies, while anyone who survives gets to live in fear and grieving over their loss of family or worse the violent assault against them.

Liberals are quick to wag their finger in the face of conservatives, while claiming we are a problem, falsely claiming and all we want to do is kill innocent people, but the liberals fail to understand the truth and the reality of law abiding gun ownership.

They hate guns, but when it all goes South, they want them right now, sadly that is a dangerous combination, based on their projected comments, they lack a good level of self control, and while they demand training, they have no problem with quickly arming up with little of no training, other what they have learned from Hollywood movies.

They refuse to take safety courses from trained instructors, because they hate those people because of who they are, basically they become what they think are gun nuts, a term and attitude that only exists with those who are trained by Hollywood and media or unstable.

People who are law abiding gun owners actually commit less criminal acts than those in law enforcement and when involved in a gunfight, fire less shots and hit their target much more often than LEO's.

While I encourage anyone who wants to take the responsibility of self protection to do so, I also encourage them to train and train a lot, a lot of responsibility comes with owning a firearm, it is a tool that can save lives when in the hands of someone who knows haw to use it, it can also become a dangerous tool when in the hands of someone who has no or foolish media driven training.

That would be gross ignorance and Hollywood based gross ignorance of firearms.

Which is why anyone who has lived in Florida for any amount of time understands you stay stocked up year round, come summer we have hurricane season, a storm approaches and everything canned or disposable (TP wipes, baby diapers) fly's off the shelves, so if a person who a native buys what they need early on, or cooks, cans and stores in the pantry at least a few months of needed supplies.

That's normal, many people, more so in urban areas are being spooked by media and local government actions, here in Florida the Democrats are demanding the Governor lock down the entire state, to cause further panic, conversely the Governor has wisely refused to do so because the hot spots are for the most part in South Florida, Broward, Dade and Palm Beach and a few other urban areas.

Now why is that happening, it's really not all that complicated, those counties have been invaded with immigrants out of the Caribbean and South America, many of these people, because of where they come from have no clue to proper hygiene and many of them are literally illiterate, they don't understand the problem and continue to spread it.

By the way in the same Tri-County area HIV/AIDS is also running rampant, and has migrated from the mostly white gay community to the newer darker skinned straight community, ignorance sucks and is expensive once it produces the undesired end result.

As such it's no wonder Broward is the number 1 hotspot for COVID-19 and SE AIDS.

Nothing wrong with that, just be careful and be trained.
