China is an Economic threat - no doubt about it - but that was a creature of our own making in large measure. China is definitely one threat to US economic hegemony - but, there are numerous others.

That battle is already lost. China is a world economic power. (and Military doesn't count nor matter much)

If we don't want to play in China's market - that is a choice we could make - but, if everyone else in the world is playing with China - that would be a costly and futile effort.

If we had Europe - India and others on board - this would be an descent strategy - with a much higher probability of success than going it alone.

Trump however, has been going around distancing us from these nations - and in fact waging economic war on them. I am Not talking Trade wars here. I am referring the Unilateral Iran Sanctions that Trump forced on the world - using the "Nuclear Option". Threatening to block banks and corps out of the international system of payments.

This has turned the nations against us - who are now doing everything in their power to "Screw them - the US- in every way they can" economically.

 

I have listened to The presidents' daily briefings and heard him say on every occasion that he was working well with Gov. Newsome and sending a hospital ship to help them if needed.
If he really wanted to get into California, they give him plenty of opportunities. I am amazed at the stupidity of the voters living in that state's largest cities.
