    Today's Movie and Quote
c/o of this Mornings Cable Movie of the Morning :
    - Call Northside 777 - { 1948 } Starring James Stewart.
One of his best even though the production value { lackluster B & W
cinematography }. I have mentioned this move a few times in the last
few years.I doubt you'll find it in stores.
It's one of those movies I feel is riveting. It keeps you interested.
It involves a regular schlub { newly married man } who the cops
decide was the guy responsible for a cop killing.Which there has been
a rash of in recent weeks. This is 1932 Chicago.
    Stewart plays a hard-nosed Journalist { Opinion Column } at a
big city newspaper run by a crusty old newspaper man Lee J. Cobb.
Stewart becomes attracted by an ad he see in the Newspaper.Somebody
was offering $ 5,ooo for help in finding the real cop killer her son got
    convicted for { 99 year sentence }.
    That person was an older scrub lady { scrubs floors in office bldgs. }
who managed to save up that money over an 11 year period.
Stewart is somewhat disinterested because he is skeptical by nature
    as a seasoned Journalist and the Guys { whose sitting in jail }
explanation seems kinda weak.Hearing his side where he confesses the
cops railroaded him.Refusing to listen to his side.Ran him " around the horn "
cop term for taking from precinct to precinct to avoid contact with a
lawyer and to aggressively interrogate and make him out to be Liar
if he gets even the tiniest detail a little wrong.Like Confusing Walnuts for
the actual kind of nuts used to Bake the Cake he supposedly was helping
his wife fix the night of the cop killing.
The last dialogue from the Movie is deserving because the Movie ends well.
    " Yes,It's a Good World Outside "

Um ... Funny words and last names.
How about one of the villains in the above movie :
    - Call Northside 777 -. It was the person used to wrongly
jail that " supposed Cop killer ".
It was Wanda Skutnik. Who witnessed firsthand the Killing.
It happened at her Speakeasy. The local copper on the beat
came inside her joint saying he feels like he's coming down with a
cold. That may have just been the way it was done at a Speakeasy.
So this Skutnik broad gets a bottle of booze and pours the cop
a shot. She sees a couple strange men outside the door of her
joint and they are wearing masks.Like they wanna rob the place.
She backs away as they bust-in and shoot dead { mighta been
a tommygun } that Local copper sitting down with his shot of liquor.
She became a main witness. She swore on the stand in court
when asked about those two men who sat as the Defendants are
the ones. She said yes.She recognized one man as regular and
wasn't sure of the other. But she swore they were the ones.
Keep in mind the real cop killers had masks on,draped right down
    past their necks.
So I's ain't about to take any Skutnik talk from anyone today.
    Dig Daddios.

Being 'Essential Personnel' has it's perks. My commute into work took about half the time it normally would.

However, I would much rather be home, in the sunshine, planting my beans and zucchinis. The tomatoes are only about 4" tall so far, so we have a couple weeks before they go in ground.

I just asked this morning at my local Wal*Mart.
One of the checkers who monitors self-checkout explained
that on Tuesdays for one hour { 8 am - 9 am } is for Seniors.
I asked how they plan on enforcing it.She said by asking for
    an I.D. Drivers License.

We invented the words and closely guard them. Tell 'em we dont hand out decoder rings to just anybody. You have to be in the inner circle. lol
I'm a 100% Italian American yankee woman. Born and raised up north. I wreak of Italian yankee. Gold jewelry and all.
I blend in up here. Down there, not so much. As soon as I start talking its a dead give away. My brothers been down south for over 20 years and people are still suspicious of him.

I'm 20 years south also. People say here: You aren't from around here, are ya. Up north, they tell me I talk funny. No winning on that one I guess. But I'm where I want to be. :)

Southerbers would get a lot of "Where are you from?" questions if we went up north. The beauty of it all is just hearing people talk and learning their words. I really just like to hear people talk, Yankees, Southerners, Cajuns, Jamaicans, Bahamians, and Creole. The way they speak the English language is fascinating. Professor Henry Higgins would have a field day in America.
