Show that you have faith and go cure all of the people who have been infected with the coronavirus = Mark 16:17-18.
No, it is your will. His will is for you to believe in him and accept his blood sacrifice for you. Your will (currently, anyway) is to deny him.
What's with all these cancelled church services these days? Don't these believers have "faith" that their (alleged) jesus-god will protect them inside a church, of all places??? jesus, talk about a bunch of fair-weather believers First sign of trouble and they chuck their faith in the (alleged) jesus-god straight into the dumpster...
Jesus did not ever promise protection from dangers on Earth. The message is that of caring for others on Earth and being rewarded after death.
Words mean things. Atheism, by definition, is not a religion. Atheism means the lack of belief in a god or gods. It is the opposite of faith.
That doesn't make a religion. Religion actually means something. Your attempt to downgrade religion to being essentially WORTHLESS is just not a legitimate form of argument. You can't just claim that religion means NOTHING therefor everyone has one of these nothings. And, I do NOT know why anyone with a real religion would accept you kind of nonsense on that.
In your opinion but in the Opinion of many Christians it takes more faith to be an atheist https://answersingenesis.org/world-religions/atheism/atheism-is-religion/ https://www.thebanner.org/columns/2019/01/is-atheism-a-religion
The definition of atheism is not my opinion. It’s what the word actually means. It means the lack of belief in a god or gods. Lacking a belief in a god or gods is what atheism means. It is by definition, the opposite of faith.
From your first link: "Atheists have an active belief system with views concerning origins (that the universe and life arose by natural processes); no life after death; the existence of God; how to behave while alive; and so much more. Honest atheists will admit their worldview is a faith. Atheism is a religion!" My views on origins and other natural phenomena come from science NOT atheism. Atheism doesn't have a view on origins. And, my atheism isn't active. I don't consult atheism in any decision I make.
Again from your first link: "In essence atheism has become the religion of the state, and it pervades the media, courts, museums, textbooks, the internet, science journals, and influences many people you encounter." Atheism does NOT pervade our schools. Not teaching that Christianity is the one true religion comes from our constitution. The internet? The internet can't be controlled. It has material from anyone who so chooses. Science can not address ANY question concerning religion or the supernatural. It's not constructed in a way that would allow that. Yes, our courts are based on the constitution. We don't have Christian Sharia. Our founders (who were pretty much all believers in a god) did that because of their experience with Christian Sharia. They knew there are problems with mixing religion and the law. Next time, please find better cites.
Why did (alleged) jesus-god allow "dangers on earth"? Does the (alleged) jesus-god get its jollies by watching its (alleged) human creations suffer?
My understanding is that the fundamental model is that Earth is, in a way, a testing ground. Humans are all born in sin. The challenge is to find god and the pathway He provided to reach heaven. There are plenty of tough questions related to age of death, those who honestly and fully follow paths to heaven that aren't exactly equivalent, the huge differences in suffering, etc. In no way do I mean this to sound depricatory.
