    Much much more contagious? Is that why not a single thing shut down in those 485 days? Is that why the media continually told us that everything was under control?

    What makes no sense is your thinking that I'm comparing the two viruses when you should be intelligent enough to realize that I'm comparing the handling of the two viruses. You must have gotten your law degree from Harvard last decade.

    Anyway, if no social distancing had been passed into law, and no schools shut down, and no non-essential businesses shut down, how many cases do you think we'd be at right now?

    The first US death happened one month ago. The 100th death happened less than two weeks ago.

    We are 3400 deaths so far. At that rate, we will be at 12,500 dead in about one week.

    What is objectionable is the claim which you are repeating that Trump called the Corona Virus a hoax. Now you are claiming that you object to using the word hoax in a discussion of the Corona virus. Wow, that's a scary thought process.

    Check the CDC response timeline on your own and let me know when it occurs to you that the CDC declaring the epidemic a national emergency in April meant that Obama did something months before the death total hit 1000.

    You will not find a single instance of me claiming that Trump called the Virus a hoax.

    You will find dozens of instances of me saying that Trump using the word hoax while discussing any aspect of the virus an objectively dumb idea.

    So what ?? Apparently the CDC response was inadequate and Obama waited until October to declare an emergency. Why did he wait 6 months ?? How many died in those 6 months ??

    You know what? I don't give a **** about this topic anymore. If you want me to condemn Obama for his handling of the H1N1 pandemic, invent a ****ing time machine and I will go back to 2009 and do so.

    Never claimed to be an expert on H1N1 mortality rates, but I am genuinely interested to see if you know how many people died from H1N1 in the first month of that pandemic.

    My bet is that it was roughly 0.02 of those who got infected.

    You've been shown the evidence but you won't agree because your building your whole political argument by ignoring things that are good reactions to this virus and focusing on anything you "think" is bad.     The first data shows a mortality rate of ~ 4% of those hospitalized died. The number of infected is estimated but not measured via testing.
