Trump Warned America About Coronavirus In Speech That Pelosi Tore Up

I know that when medical experts talk, Trump ignores or contradicts them. Leadership spats don't interest me. Whatever baggage you're complaining about wasn't relevant or a hindrance to Trump taking the virus seriously back when he was claiming it was under control and going away, when he was lying about our preparedness for a pandemic and that tests would be available to anyone that wanted one.

I'll repeat, from my original post in this thread, he f***ed up. It's okay to admit that. It's foolish not to acknowledge mistakes, and in Trump's case it's getting people killed.

During the H1N1 Virus Outbreak (in 2009) did the economy get destroyed and require a Multi-Trillion Dollar Bailout?

Did Society get shutdown with "Social Distancing" Guidelines?

Any attempt to equate what is going on now, with H1N1 in 2009 is an Epic FAIL.

And his travel ban which prevented persons carrying Corona virus from continuing to come to the US and infecting more Americans. This will result in thousands of lives being saved.

 

I wasn't a fan of much that Obama did, so feel free to make an argument for how he mishandled it and you may get some agreement from me. I won't hold my breath for an honest assessment of Trump's performance from any righty in return, though.

 

Talk about the expense of American lives here's a fun fact. Obama declared a National Emergency in Oct 2009, by then the US had between 22 million cases of H1N1. 3900 deaths.

Trump never listens to his own experts unless they're telling him what he wants to hear. He prefers to pull numbers and predictions out of his ample backside. This crisis has been no different. Just yesterday, he resorted to going on and on about his impeachment and the Russia investigation, as if this pandemic was attacking his presidency deliberately. He's a child. Everything has to be about him.

And horse pucky on that claim that China has any great influence on the WHO.

 

How many has he failed to save by his early downplaying of this pandemic? We'll never know.
