Yes, he has presided over the nation's rise to its status as epicenter of the global pandemic, but has he won?

Trump ramps up his war against the nation’s medial experts
The reality-tv celebrity has spun a far different yarn from knowledgeable public servants from the start in late January:

    Screen Shot 2020-04-04 at 8.22.30 AM.png
"It's not so much a question of if this will happen anymore,
but rather more a question of exactly when this will happen
and how many people in this country will have severe illness."

Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the head of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases
at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
This prescient scientific assessment contrast starkly with the alternate reality that Trump was spewing at the same time:

    Screen Shot 2019-11-05 at 8.56.52 AM.png
    "We do have a plan
and we think it's gonna be handled very well,
we've already handled it very well!"

      • Screen Shot 2019-11-05 at 8.56.52 AM.png
      • "We have it totally under control.
      • It's one person coming in from China.
      • We have it under control.
      • It's going to be just fine!"
      • Screen Shot 2019-11-05 at 8.56.52 AM.png
      • "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus.
      • The United States greatly appreciates
      • their efforts and transparency.
      • It will all work out well.
      • In particular, on behalf of the American People,
      • I want to thank President Xi!"
      • Screen Shot 2019-11-05 at 8.56.52 AM.png
      • "We think we have it very well under control.
      • We have very little problem in this country
      • at this moment — five —and those people
      • are all recuperating successfully.
      • But we're working very closely
      • with China and other countries!"
    The battle persists.

    Screen Shot 2019-11-05 at 8.56.52 AM.png
    "Hydroxychloroquine, I don't know....

It's looking like it's having some good results.
I hope that, that would be a phenomenal thing!"
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health was asked whether the drug was considered a treatment for the novel coronavirus.

    "The answer is NO!"

After publicly correcting Trump on several occasions, Dr Fauci is now receiving death threats for his heroic efforts to save lives.

    Will Trump prevail?

Congratulations OP! You have successfully proved that Donald Trump is not a doctor. Thank you for showing us the light!

I read OP's like this and struggle to imagine what is going on in the posters head. Literally every one of the medical experts in all the media has reversed their opinions at least one time and many far more than that. It appears if for one second in time one will say something that fits the twisted meme that suits a leftie, immediately someone puts up another garbage post just to feel better about living with the misery that President Trump has brought to their lives. Now, for some strange reason when that same medical expert reverses that opinion, it gets shoved under the rug. There is actually a 500 post thread here over two idiots that drank fish tank cleaner to combat the Chinese virus and one of the more left leaning posters has argued in that thread dozens of times, this is Trumps fault. Good God, where do they come from?

I have provided you with exact, documented quotations, all of which are readily verified.

Since you are unable to refute any of them them, you will just have to pretend they are bogus.

As I have pointed out previously, to a hammer the world is a nail. To the medical community, medical advice is the solution to all problems. To Trump, economics is the solution to all the problems. To Pelosi and Schumer, impeachment is the solution to all the problems. However, it comes down to the man in charge having to mesh all this together. I would be the first to admit that Trump is far from accomplishing a perfect solution. However, I have not seen that anyone else has proposed anything better.

You would do well to heed the advice of real medical authorities, not that of reality-tv personality Trump when he pays one on tv.
Of course, Trump's latest fake claim regarding testing is not as egregious as when he falsely insisted on March 6 that

    Screen Shot 2019-10-21 at 8.23.24 AM.png
"Anyone who needs a test can get a test!
    Anybody right now and yesterday
    — anybody that needs a test gets a test.
We — they’re there. They have the tests."
    And the tests are beautiful!”

Pence had just admitted regarding tests, "beautiful" or otherwise, that,

I do. Trump also wants to get the economy going, because if we don't that will also be disastrous. The only ones who make no sense at all is Pelosi and Schumer who only want to impeach or conduct another investigation.

Then he should NEVER have touted an unproven medication as a “cure” should he?

Your hyper-partisan diversion fails to confront Trump's ongoing record of false statements regarding the pandemic.

With the unprecedented 10+ years of economic growth collapsing, the most efficient way to minimize the effect of the pandemic and hasten economic recovery would have been to honestly and responsibly confront the known threat as did South Korea that had identified its first case on the same day as the U.S., not by pretending that it was "under control!", and continually offering happy talk that contradicted medical experts.

A guy could walk the beach at Waikiki, carefully picking flyspecks from the sand... the go around with his bowl of them, claiming he proved the beach was made of fly poop.
Why would anyone place value or credibility in such "documentation"? Why would any such distortion carry any weight in the eyes of a rational person?
It doesn't. Get used to it.

You mean like Pelosi stating in February that we should go ahead go on as normal or Biden saying that Trump was over reacting. In general, we have done better than most nations. Singling one out as an example proves little, if anything.

Trump's feeble inability to comprehend the severity of the pandemic and act in a timely, decisive manner is now beginning to have the expected consequences in public support, even among his most ardent enthusiasts:

    "It's under control!"
a"problem that's going to go away!"
"We have very few people with it!"...

"the people are getting better, they're all getting better!"
"I think that whole situation will start working out!"

Disruption to everyday life might be severe...

has certainly raised our level of concern, and raised our level of expectation

Trump’s early missteps remain problematic to the public and concern over them is only growing.
    • Lack of preparedness remains the biggest concern for Americans.

    • Despite a popular narrative, Trump has not experienced a sustained approval bump, especially in comparison to other Governors and leaders.
Trump Voters Increasingly Dissatisfied With Early Response
40% of 2016 Trump voters say the president did not take coronavirus seriously enough early in the crisis, up 17 points since early last week.

Of course if DC Joe were there instead, he wouldn't even know what a virus is and would be asking which state it's located in...
Thats "DC", or Diminished Capacity Joe. You know, your candidate.

Your desperate attempt at diversion from Trump's documented lies is noted.

You cannot honestly deny what he said and when he said it, so you try to contrive a distraction.

People want to trust the doctors. They know, even if they won't admit it, that the doctor's are going to know more than Trump and other politicians about the medical aspects of what is almost exclusively a medical problem.

Problem is, Trump is saying what they want to hear. He's telling us the country will be back to normal before long, that we will reopen, and that there are a handful of medicines that are going to, more or less, save the day.

So how do you choose between a politician giving you wrong news that's good or trained doctors giving you bad news that's real?

For some, they choose the thing that gives them hope, which is of course, Trump. I think that's understandable on many levels. The hope may even be a benefit for mental health, something that I'm sure is strained in millions of households across the country right now.

But ultimately I think even some of these folks know the doctors are the ones to listen to.

Lets say you go to your doctor's appointment. The doctor sees you, does the exam and runs the tests. At the end when the doctor would explain things to you, there is now Donald Trump standing there too. Both are going to talk to you about your health. Are you going to listen to what the doctor has to say over the politician who is not and has never been a doctor or anything else remotely connected to health care or science?

And then of course, you have those folks who still choose to believe this is all fake nonsense to begin with, that it's just the flu, yada yada yada. Those are also, in my opinion, ways of coping. Lets just say that method though is the equivelent of one of those pseudo-holistic quackos you'd see listed in the back of a bad magazine, where the text isn't even written correctly, and there's a misspelling, etc. The alternative that even alternative-medicine people are like "ehhh, yeah that's a bit out there. I might chug essential oils and insert crystals into my anal cavity but I'm not THAT crazy".

Trump’s actions will be directly responsible for 100,000 plus or minus deaths. That is beyond dispute.
