He has said that. He has also gone way out of way to promote the use of this drug. Trumpers are even accusing the dems of not wanting a cure because they tend to follow medical experts and not trump.

All along the warning has been that trump is not a doctor and he is in no position to be recommending the use of a drug. But trump world sees him as the new Nostradamus of miracle cures.

Once again the message from trump is to ignore the experts. "Wear a mask, don't wear a mask" he said when the CDC says we all should wear them. I would take the drug, but the doctors want to wait for years of testing first...

The man is a menace to public health and safety. And I would bet he has money in this somehow. He has been pushing this drug like a carnival barker.

When the CNN reporter asked him why he keeps pushing it. If the doctors and doing their jobs and they are testing for efficacy, what do you hope to achieve by pushing its use? Trump responded by attacking him... like someone who has skin in the game.

Recovery rates are clearly anecdotal. Making a statement like that is totally irresponsible.

This drug has serious side effects. It certainly is NOT given to every patient who might benefit from it, because they may have conditions that could render the drug lethal.

Trump's comments also have the effect of denying the drug to those who need it - as a result of the short supply and hording. His comments on this drug are NOT benign. They ARE causig suffering and this drug is lifesaving for Lupus patients.

This is an area where Trump has NO BUSINESS commenting - AT ALL.

He already has a job to do - a job he is FAILING to do.

Our COVID testing has been slower, inferior and in short supply compared to that in some other countries.

In that case, getting help from other countires becomes a course of action that has to be considered seiously.

The idea that we should ignore that in favor of "made in America" is just plain STUPID.

"Made in America" isn't a principle for which we should consign Americans to death.

Yes it is his fault when he recommends a medical procedure when he doesn't know what he's talking about (of course, he doesn't know what he talking about on any subject but that's a different story). It's not being "hopeful" when he says nonsense like " I'll take it myself". Really WTF.

We are talking about bringing manufacturing home and avoiding foreign entanglements so stop with the feminine "consign Americans to death" bullshit.

    This is just silly.

The reason that manufacturing is world wide is that it is the best solution as dictated by capitalism.

And, we LOVE "foreign entanglements" as our economic influence is more important than our military influence. For example, our military influence is WHY Iran believes then need nuclear deterrence. And, our only effective solution is economic.

What we faced was a surprise attack. And, we failed to respond.

With Pearl Harbor, we responded. There was an IMMEDIATE full blown response in every sector all across America. And, that response was marshalled by serious leadership.

Washington said no foreign entanglements and he was right. The monopolistic form of global Capitalism has screwed the American working man along with the investment banks. We don't want Iran to have nukes because of Israeli security. Any president would have responded as FDR did even the Orangen Hitler.

Why would any rational person take medical advise from a huckster whose shtick has been luring people into schlocky casinos by dangling the fake allure of easy money?

Anyone who would swallow this con man's hyped magic elixers would be sufficiently gormless to believe that anthropogenic climate change is a Chinese hoax!

So you are suggesting Trump invented this medication and all on his own discovered it is effective against covid? Not the fact that the med has existed since the 1930's and it's other countries that tested it first and passed the info on regarding it's effectiveness?

Yes, people argue all the time and they want the answer they want. Are you going to deny the possibility that people will keep looking for a doctor that will give them the answer they want. It happens all the time, and not to their benefit.

You are free to make such an assertion, of course. I have not seen any credible evidence that is the case.
Yes, I have seen claims of the efficacy of cow urine for the treatment of COVID-19 as well. Some swear by it. Call it perverse, but concerning medical matters, I prefer to rely upon the expertise of medical professionals rather than that of casino proprietors, just as I assign far more credence to climatologists regarding climatology than to reality-tv entertainers.
I concede that Trump claims to know more about everything than anybody, and some may actually believe that, but I maintain serious doubts regarding his self-proclaimed mastery of many, many other fields in which he insists that he knows more than acknowledged and respected experts:
    • Campaign finance: "I think nobody knows more about campaign finance than I do, because I'm the biggest contributor." (1999.)
    • TV ratings: "I know more about people who get ratings than anyone." (October 2012.)
    • ISIS: "I know more about ISIS than the generals do." (November 2015.)
    • Social media: "I understand social media. I understand the power of Twitter. I understand the power of Facebook maybe better than almost anybody, based on my results, right?" (November 2015.)
    • Courts: "I know more about courts than any human being on Earth." (November 2015.)
    • Lawsuits: "[W]ho knows more about lawsuits than I do? I'm the king." (January 2016.)
    • Politicians: "I understand politicians better than anybody."
    • The visa system: "[N]obody knows the system better than me. I know the H1B. I know the H2B. ... Nobody else on this dais knows how to change it like I do, believe me." (March 2016.)
    • Trade: "Nobody knows more about trade than me." (March 2016.)
    • The U.S. government system: "[N]obody knows the system better than I do." (April 2016.)
    • Renewable energy: "I know more about renewables than any human being on Earth." (April 2016.)
    • Taxes: "I think nobody knows more about taxes than I do, maybe in the history of the world." (May 2016.)
    • Debt: "I’m the king of debt. I’m great with debt. Nobody knows debt better than me." (June 2016
    • Money: "I understand money better than anybody." (June 2016.)
    • Infrastructure: "[L]ook, as a builder, nobody in the history of this country has ever known so much about infrastructure as Donald Trump." (July 2016.)
    • Sen. Cory Booker: "I know more about Cory than he knows about himself." (July 2016.)
    • Borders: Trump said in 2016 that Sheriff Joe Arpaio said he was endorsing him for president because "you know more about this stuff than anybody."
    • Democrats: "I think I know more about the other side than almost anybody." (November 2016.)
    • Construction: "[N]obody knows more about construction than I do." (May 2018.)
    • The economy: "I think I know about it better than [the Federal Reserve]." (October 2018.)
    • Technology: "Technology — nobody knows more about technology than me." (December 2018.)
    • Drones: "I know more about drones than anybody. I know about every form of safety that you can have." (January 2019.)
    • Drone technology: "Having a drone fly overhead — and I think nobody knows much more about technology, this type of technology certainly, than I do." (January 2019.)

Why are you so defiant that there is a drug showing promising results. You seem so upset about it.

Quacks have always promoted miracle elixers.

Why should anyone swallow the sales pitch of a con man with no medical expertise when their are many far more knowledgeable people providing sound advice?

There is no cure for COVID-19 at this time. Health officials say some specific drugs are in development (hydroxychloroquine by no means excluded) for treatment, but more research is needed.

The World Health Organization must continually debunk rumors about such fake claims.

Someone with no medical expertise spewing hype not only endangers the gullible and creates shortages for those who need a medication for conditions for which it has proven effective, it diverts researchers from pursuing other, more promising candidates. Why not encourage researchers to focus upon whichever regimens they deem most promising rather than squander precious time and resources on just one some person who is pharmacologically ignorant hypes?

Why does this upset you so much? Doctors and scientist from many different counties say it’s helping. Maybe you should contact them and tell them they are wrong.

How the squalid hydroxychloroquine scam was contrived without the input of any actual medical experts:
Ideological fanaticism is a poor substitute for rigorous science.

Wow you’re really getting angry over this. So you think the doctors and scientists in multiple countries are all lying about this drug? Or you’d rather see more people die than to give them something that may save them?

Now that we know Rudy invested in Novartis in February and that they paid Michael Cohen $1.2M, I think we are justified in wanting to dig a little deeper.

Why do you not care that gullible people have died, people in need of the drug to treat the conditions for which it was tested and approved are being deprived of it, and researchers are being pressured to focus on it rather than more promising candidates they could identify?

Who are your "doctors and scientist from many different counties"? who endorse a casino operator's fancy?

You're right, we should deny it from the dying patients, because you refuse to listen to studies and facts.

Hydroxychloriquine is used for anti viral growth, not immune system suppression in this instance.
