Complete bovine excrement! Medicare is way more cost effective and efficient than the private sector.
no more fraud than in the insurance industry heck, we have the insurance industry now turning down businesses for their policies on pandemic closures, they have paid these for year for just this type of event, now they don't want to pay
Think insurances companies every paid $800 for a hammer? Your big bloated govt has.... Much more fraud in the public sector than in the private. Greedy capitalist control their money better than the govt does ouu tax dollars.
We will improve based on the lessons form this crisis. The market always does. Maybe lesson one...don't trust the govt to have needed supplies, the free market better do that instead.
Not if choice A makes choice B less effective. We have plenty of choice now, no need for a bloated gov choice added.
There is no free market in the healthcare industry. It is one of the most, if not the most, regulated industry in the USA. And no free market company is ever going to sit on $Millions of inventory just in case of an emergency. Do you think a company would do that?
Of course there is. We don't have plenty of choices. In my state, maybe 6. Likely 3 or 4 insurance choices.
So adding big govt to the mix adds how many more choices? If there were a need for more in your state then the market place would provide more to capitalize on that need. Capitalism is a powerful motivator, it's the only reason you have food on the shelf at your local grocery store right now for example.
so you want to force everyone to choose your choice so your insurer makes more money, thus is more effective in your eyes... got it if everyone chooses the same choice, one company or one government plan, I agree it can be more effective as the risk is spread among more people
are you saying there is not fraud in private insurance, and why would either insurance pay for a hammer... what kinda surgery that used for?
But we know for an empirical fact that single payer systems provide better care for a fraction of the cost of the US system.
Of course their is fraud in private insurance, but as it is company money it is perused more aggressively and more care taken to prevent it. With tax dollars and the govt over seeing it, not some much... Thus we get the US Govt paying $800 for a hammer you I am could buy at Home Depot for $25.
yes, corrupt people like Trump will always exist, in corps and government, thus why you get million dollar bonuses that could buy a lot of hammers
Of course. 1 more. And their goal is not to make a profit. So, if not for capitalism, we'd have no grocery store? Or groceries? Well, then there'd not be people if there was no food. Except for those capable of growing or hunting their own.
Wrong AGAIN! https://www.govexec.com/federal-news/1998/12/the-myth-of-the-600-hammer/5271/ Yet another extremist rightwing DISINFORMATION myth DEBUNKED!
Another conservative neoliberal load of bovine excrement! There is no "market" because all of the greed obsessed HMO's want to MAXIMIZE their PROFITS so they don't compete with one another. https://healthpayerintelligence.com/news/ama-study-finds-lack-of-health-payer-competition-across-us We do NOT have genuine capitalism in this nation any longer. What we do have is conservative neoliberalism that LOOTING the middle class and DENYING We the People the healthcare that we are OVERPAYING for.
Im not reading any more of your childish post until you stop using caps. We are not teenagers. If your point has validity it does not need to be in caps.
I highlight certain words for EMPHASIS and so do other members. Even your criminal IMPOTUS does it CONSTANTLY! So are you going to stop reading the CHILDISH tweets of your criminal IMPOTUS because it would be HYPOCRITICAL if you didn't?
If our political leaders had waited longer to take the actions they did, we would be recording a far larger number of deaths from this pandemic than we are now. But healthcare should NEVER be based on employment. It should be based on citizenship, or simply natural human rights.
Fine you can pay for it for others, leave me out of it. Your health care is not my responsibility. Mine is not yours.
