CNN had a field day with its chyrons during Trump's 'meltdown' at his coronavirus briefing

Odd choice for your party's presidential nominee. You guys pretend to support women and then nominate a sexual predator/rapist. Wonder how that'll play out with women.

 

I'm not 'applauding' it. But he certainly has an obligation to defend himself against the lies of fake news.

 

I agree with these sentiment. Nearly everyone made mistakes in attempting to stop this virus. That's why we are in a global pandemic.

But trump's mistakes were undeniable mistakes when he made them, even without the benefit of hindsight.

 

What lies? No one said that he did nothing, they said he didnt do enough. That is objectively true. No one said that every choice he made was a mistake. They said he made mistakes. That is objectively true. No one said that he completely and totally dismissed the threat of the virus. They said that he repeatedly dismissed the threat if the virus. That is objectively true.

And even if you think that calling out the "lies of his critics" is fair game, why the **** does he need to do it personally or during the pandemic update press conference?

Attempting to stop the spread of panic is absolutely the right thing to do. Yes. While also taking action, which he did.

He has done a great job. Better than any democrats thats for sure.

 

Same day Cuomo opens up on his radio show CNN goes over the top and proves him right.. You couldnt ask for it to be more clear.

 

Telling an explicit lie and failing to properly warn the country is a piss poor way of stopping the spread of panic.

Personally, I would have preferred that he worked harder on stopping the spread of infections and death.

 

It wasn’t a lie, he has done a great job and made sure no one has been completely overwhelmed by providing them what they request quickly and easily. Even Cuomo had to admit this.

The only actions taking to lessen the spread, was taking by Trump within the first weeks. He led the charge here.

 

What is it with some people and 'need'?

Why not do it during the press conference?

Compared to how many people were claiming we were going to have...yes...he did a great job.

Given how high the numbers were originally, yes its a fantastic job. He has saved a lot of lives.

 

How many deaths would there have been if Hillary were elected? How many deaths would there have been if you were President?

About the same, I would think. Things are looking a lot better than the 2 to 3 million deaths projected back in Feb.

You think Trump's mistakes were "obvious." I can't imagine what you mean. It looks to me like everyone was caught flat-footed except maybe a few Asian countries which were hit badly by SARS and were more prepared and alert than we in the West who had been spared.

 

How high the numbers were originally? More than 1500+ Americans have died every single day over the last 8 days in a row.

America now holds the top 8 slots for single day deaths.

 

Canada and Australia have shown a tremendous ability to limit infections. Germany has shown a tremendous ability to limit deaths.

And Japan is getting wrecked by this virus.

 

I watch him, too, because it is one of the saddest clown shows ever.
