Sure. The US is in the middle of the pack.

But if you had been President, the US would be doing much better, right?

You really need to turn the TV off.. All he did was show clips of other people ( and himself).

That and spoke down to a click bait seeking "journalist".

I was not aware that a few news outlets represents almost 8 billion people. I can see you might think that though.

He used taxpayer dollars and an epidemic press briefing to air video designed to praise himself and quote some media members from january.

The video contained zero clips from February - like the ones where he repeatedly said (after the first confirmed case of community spread in the US) that the virus was very much under control - nor did it include any statements from folks like Trish Reagan ("this virus is the democrat's hoax"), rush limbaugh ("who cares if this virus is 10x more lethal than the flu"), or Jeanine Perro ("all this talk of this virus being more deadly than the flu doesn't match reality").

Now, as to him assaulting that reporter for asking a click bait question - her question was, "let's assume your travel ban bought us time, what did you do during the six week time frame from then until you declared a national emergency?"

I hope you have a better response than his.

Feb 29th Fauci also said it was not going to be a big deal.. Should he listen to experts or not?

Your ever post just rehashes whatever is on the front page of CNN or the NY Times.

She didn't have the advantage of Presidential briefings, which trump ignored.

When trump was warned about the threat, did he call Pelosi to inform her? Did he issue a warning to Congress?

That is a completely bullshit and I know the source of your claim - it is Donald Trump's retweet of that #FireFauci which completely and utterly misrepresented what he said. Your post just rehashed the latest lie from donald trump.

Dr. Fauci made two TV appearances on February 29th. Here is what he actually said:

    From the first:

    From the Second:

No. Right now, at this moment, there’s no need to change anything that you’re doing on a day by day basis. Right now the risk is still low, but this could change. I’ve said that many times even on this program. You’ve got to watch out because although the risk is low now, you don’t need to change anything you’re doing. When you start to see community spread, this could change and force you to become much more attentive to doing things that would protect you from spread."

No unlike you i dont need to get CNN talking points to speak on a matter... FACT he said as of now the RISK IS LOW... SAME THING TRUMP WAS SAYING..

Trump did what you wanted to and claimed he did not he listened to his experts.. As the experts knowledge and data changed so did Trump.

Your bias clouds your judgement you just backed up what i have been saying for weeks and countered your claims he did not listen to the experts..

    ****ing sad.

The bias clouding your judgment has led you to legitimately advance the theory that "we have it completely under control" is the same thing as "right now, at this moment, there's no need to change anything...right now the risk [to Americans] is low, but this could change."

    They are very similiar yes...

You know, it ends if you -- it depends on the nature of the outbreak. I mean, this could be a major outbreak. I hope not. Or it could be something that’s reasonably well controlled.

    And the meltdown continues...

Tell the Democrat Governors that “Mutiny On The Bounty” was one of my all time favorite movies. A good old fashioned mutiny every now and then is an exciting and invigorating thing to watch, especially when the mutineers need so much from the Captain. Too easy!

Huh you said democratic senators warned Trump while they were in all day everyday impeachment trial. What the heck does "only if you" supposed to mean?

Compared to your 2million deaths projections based on your overwhelming knowledge of charts it's a freaking miracle. I find it hilarious the guy swearing we would have around 2 million deaths is now blaming Trump for virus deaths that aren't even half as many as the flu has killed this past year. Not shocked I guess.

I always quoted those projections while noting 2 million was the worst case scenario and assumed zero compliance.

I am glad that I "frothed at the mouth" about those projections because the efforts of experts and individuals, like me, frothing at the mouth about 2 million dead is the ****ing reason that jackasses like Donald Trump eventually came around to arguing that we needed to adopt full compliance with epidemic control responses.

    Also, I'm sorry.

Did you really just call 25,000 dead Americans in three weeks a "freaking miracle" because we have not, and are not likely, to hit 2 million dead Americans?

Democratic Senators proved early and often that they took this virus much more seriously than the Trump administration.

    5 February
    ‘They aren’t taking this seriously’

After a coronavirus briefing with White House officials, senators express concern that the administration is downplaying the threat. “No request for ANY emergency funding,” notes Democrat Chris Murphy of Connecticut.

Democrats were also weeks ahead of the Republicans, on average, to make public and private messages of warning about the virus. Meanwhile, Republican Senators were busy selling stock before warning their donors at private events.

Best case was around 240k deaths.. The models were wrong even Fauci and Brix admitted this..

Yes Trump "came around" the same time Fauci did.

Feb 29th is way after Feb 5th why would we have needed emergency funding on the 5th if Fauci on the 29th was still saying it was low risk?

You keep digging yourself deeper and deeper.

No, they said the best case scenario from the initial model was 100k-240k. They then said they were going with a newer model that showed a best case scenario of ~35k.
Absolute bullshit. Fauci was very, very much more open about the possibility that this virus could evolve into a major threat while Trump spent weeks and months telling everyone that it was completely under control.

I have no problem digging through your bullshit.

We needed emergency funding on February 5th to keep us from needing trillions in emergency funding in March.

There was no meltdown. It was a montage that demonstrated that using media and cnn in the same breath was a joke. Trump calmly used a technique Rush uses to display how the various puppets who claim to report the news use exactly the same words every night to describe people they spend every pathetic breath hating. No one who watched the beautiful montage would call his calm destruction of the credibility of the nightly liars a 'meltdown'.
