I would prefer to believe you are being sarcastic, however, having never seen such from you in my short amount of time here I have to take this at face value. Do tell of all those dead bodies in the streets from refer madness. Pics and a link would be great. Amsterdam must have such a problem.

    What an inane paranoid rant.

Having read this entire thread I am all but certain you have only posted a single link from the Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal from 2014 that cited a 2014 report by, of all possible sources, The Rocky Mountain High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area federal government task force

So no, your source was not from 2017. You’ve not provided any others, or if you have I apologize for having missed them.

By the way, you’re welcome for the link to the latest Rocky Mountain Drug Warriors Report, enjoy!

Same thing goes with alcohol. It causes auto accidents, liver failure, diabetes, violence, etc. While I don't partake in marijuana, in all fairness, if you are going to ban that, then you should also ban alcohol as well. Kill two birds with one stone.

Pot has many deleterious effects.. they should be cited far and wide; as for making it illegal.. if only that worked..

alcohol is responsible for hundreds of thousands of drunk-driving deaths every year.

by the logic of the OP, alcohol should be illegal.

My brother is a VERY well paid (multimillionaire) attorney in El Paso, and IQ has little to do with it.
He won the largest tort case.... ever (New Mexico a couple of years ago. involved FedEx)

Talk about substance dependence, just look at oxygen! One inhalation, and you're absolutely hooked. Stop, and you die. Terrible thing!

    It is indeed serious.

Is the nation of Amsterdam in the united states?

Whether or not a country can avoid such a fate is not relevant to the discussion. The united states is heavily invested in black market illicit narcotic substances, often with fatal additives serving to contaminate the dosages for more powerful and addictive results to those who take them. Even if such substances were to be legalized, subjected to consumer safety standards, and distributed at licensed dispensaries, such would still do nothing to combat the illicit trade, as the finalized legal version would have far weaker results than the illicit product. Those who would crave a stronger high would still dispense with the legal alternative, and instead seek the illicit alternative.

    Irrelevant and off topic.

Reefer Madness time. Besides all the arguments for "legalization" of weed, what is really illegal because it's blatantly unconstitutional are all the laws prohibiting sale, possession and usage. All such "laws" violate the 9th, 10th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution.

disagree, the war on drugs is what causes that to happen and funds gangs and terrorists

how many buy moonshine today..... most by over the counter as they know what they are getting

used to be people feared letting their kids go into the woods as they might happen across a still during prohibition

    ....
Inane paranoid rant is irrelevant and off topic?

You are aware the topic of the thread is, Marijuana should be illegal !!!

You are a bit off topic yourself I think, talking about narcotics, making oblique references to the dangers of drugs being cut with fentanyl or worse, carfentanil, and then proposing that, "When children have to see their parents, siblings, and friends laying dead in the streets and on sidewalks as their bodies decompose while others have to walk over them, they will understand the true societal cost of the use of illicit substances..

Topic is marijuana, not the abuse of legal drugs that is the opioid crisis, not illegal heroin or cocaine or crystal meth....

Again, show us the links from the big cities that have legalized recreational marijuana showing the children weeping in the streets over their dead parents.... I'll accept you wish to keep the discussion to the US rather than the city that has been the poster child for legalization - give me something from Seattle or Denver or Boulder then, yes?
