    Yes, I fully believe Trump said shithole.... a very respected long term Senator said he did and it's highly in character. The fact that he was the only D Senator in the room to confirm is just a bad circumstance...

    Also, several R's (not in the room) appear to believe the comment was made as well.... whether that is based on second hand knowledge, or simply knowing the man, I do not know

    no its not. but it is absolutely true that there are just as many racists, if not more, on the left. That said, every Trump supporter, just like every democrat, are not racist.

    I would think the Democratic Party would want to avoid stuff like this. I think Bernie would have taken the high road here and would attack the president but not call his base racist. That is just going to piss people off and get them to cast votes for sure.
