I can only see folks eyes now
Some folks look utterly laughable and buffoonish
    Dressed in fake space helmets

I don’t wear a mask because I know it provides zero protection

My particular grocery store employees all wear a mask, then the checker touches all my items that I have touched, and the bagger touches all the items the cashier has touched. Plus they both have touched all the items of all the customers before me which those customers touched. Once home I have to unbag the items and now I'm touching everything that many people have recently touched.

Yip, But I cant go to the shoe store....

I did wipe down a few cans the first day, less cans on the 2nd day, now I dont bother. But i still wash my hands.

The cashiers are surviving well enough, if this was that bad they'd be dropping like flies and I'd be dead already

My self lock down isnt going well. I did home depot , the grocery and the liquor store yesterday. I've really fallen off the quarantine wagon.. or is it "on" the wagon...I dunno.

The stock people are wearing gloves and masks. BAG YOUR OWN GROCERIES

If you're concerned wipe each item down when you get home. Then wash your hands and keep them away from your face till you do

~ Yup ... All good points so far. The mask thing was a nusence at first - but now I almost find it amusing. I may even get a Trump Halloween mask ! I wonder if we will soon all be "ordered" to wear gloves ? Why not an entire jumpsuit ? In China they do cellphone tracking .
´ The great experiment in social engineering continues ...

I have a big smile on the front of my mask. When the mask slips to one side it looks kinda scary I'm told

I may get the rolling stone lips and tongue thing next

Gotta have a little fun right?

What another person deems appropriate for that person's security, when it imposes nothing on anyone else, would seem a silly matter to occupy oneself with.
Some people think, for example, that wearing a helmet while riding a horse, bicycle or motorcycle looks "dumb", but it is better to remain dumb about it.

How about asking the cashier and the bagger to sanitize their hands before touching your items.

You are pretty much right. Except from the police, in some areas.

I've not seen much concern about sterilizing money, and there is something that travels hand to hand and may actually be handled by may people in a single day... Hey, could be on to something here.

We must quarantine all money immediately!
Or maybe, open a business sterilizing it. Yeah, that sounds good. Just send me all your money, I will get it 100% disinfected quickly and ship it back to you sealed in safety, for only a 10% processing fee!

I don't wear a mask because I don't want to. That says nothing about the fact that they aren't available.

I wonder- how is a shop owner to know which masked person is a bandit, and which is a shopper? Seems we could be giving the bandits an edge here.

Thank you for making it more dangerous for everyone around you.

You get the virus and don't know it and you spread it to any number of people before you even get a sniffle.

    What a guy

    Use credit cards

My business is still limping along and most customers pay by card.

Those that pay with cash...we throw it in a basket and let it sit for a week.

And wash our hands after touching it

In my part of the country, less than half mask and half of those wear it below their nose because it fogs their glasses.
I keep a bandana in the car and if I am entering a store I will pull it up knowing it is doing absolutely nothing other than make me feel like a cowboy again. Our local grocery store is fully stocked, less than half the workers wear masks, and none of us worry.

That's why it's best to pay with a credit card. But then the cashier tears off your receipt and hands it to you. I actually saw a cashier looking through the sale paper to confirm a price on an item for a customer and, yep, the cashier was licking their finger before turning each page.

It's not possible to get the upper shetworld cocaine and the lower shetworld meth off of money by autoclaving currency.

I am not so sure who are the idiots, those with or those without the masks. Time will tell. If masks don't help, then certainly the health care workers are also idiots wearing them.

What is astounding, though, is to witness the sheer incompetence of the general populace when it comes to sterile practices. They wear gloves and mask, but then use the gloved hands to touch their mask and face all over the place. Most of them also have no clue as to how to take off gloves without contaminating themselves. Health care providers should give some training sessions.

With approximately 20,000 cities and towns in the USA it ain't a much, that is, less than 3 people dead per local political subdivision on average.

Subtract out the big cities and it's hardly anything at all.

    But I wear a bandana.
